MACM - Heart Paper Clip

020909-heartclip.jpg

Good morning, everyone!

This week's Make a Card Monday actually doesn't include a card. ;) I'm in the middle of switching over to Wordpress from Movable Type and all my spare moments are being diminished by the reality of customizing a template I know nothing about. But it's coming along and I should be ready to launch the new site next Monday. So, watch for that.

Anyway, this video shows you how to create a heart-shaped paper clip just like How About Orange showed last week. I followed the visuals over there and it still look me a while to figure it out, so I thought a video would make it that much easier to teach you all how to create one. So enjoy!

I'll catch up with you all a bit later this week. :)

Very cute.. I like this simple tip. My question for you is, how flat will the paperclip lay. In otherwords will I be able to use it on a card without it being too bulky??

LOVE that cute heart paperclip. How fun! AND that little "throw away" tip ("add a ribbon") so great! Thanks.

So impressed that as you are making blog transitions and dealing with time management you are still able to help us be creative!

I used to these clip-hearts when I was just a little girl but I used to do it with the mouth, I think your way is better.

Hi Kristina. What a fab video, thanks ever so much for taking the time and trouble to share it with us. I love the idea.

In answer to your question about life balance I used to be a full time working Mum and struggled to fit in crafts at all, and sometimes was at burn out. I think evaluating and re-prioritising your life as you have just done is the way to go. The creative side of you needs to be fulfilled, but not to the detriment of your health or other areas of your life. I have only just started blogging and am finding it addictive, but you taught me an early lesson not to burn myself out doing it and lose my craft in the process! It's all about that balance thing again! Thanks for showing you're human too ;o)

Thanks for the video. I was sitting at work on the phone listening to a co-worker and I just bent a paperclip into the heart. It totally made my day and it looks cute sitting on my desk holding some papers.
