MACM - Robot (Valentine's Day Card)

011909-macm.jpg

Good morning!

Here's another Make a Card Monday video. This week it's pretty long again, although there's no conversation with Jen in the middle this time. But I do talk a bit about another giveaway, so hopefully it's worth watching all the way through. :)

Anyway, enjoy! The video below is in HD. To watch it in normal quality, click here.

EDITED TO ADD: You can find the stamps I used over at twopeasinabucket.com - Hellobot, and Double Bubble.

Supplies - Hellobot and Double Bubble stamp set (Bam Pop); Big Bold Birthday stamp set (heart), Baja Breeze card stock and ink, Ruby Red and Sahara Sand ink (Stampin' Up!); Treading Waters border punch (Fiskars); white card stock (Papertrey Ink); Jet Black ink (StazOn); Dove Blender Pen.

So cute card =) I can't wait for the giveaway, as I would love, love, LOVE to have Stampin' Up!s scalloped edge punch =)As i live in Norway, there is no way for me to purchase it, so being given one is my only opportunity to get it =( I wish so bad that Stampin' Up! would start up here in Norway too. I would have been such a loyal customer, if not a demonstrator too =)

Cute card! I wanted to mention something I noticed about commenting. I had tried to comment one day and as you mentioned in your video I put in the wrong jumbled letters. When it came back, the comment I had typed was gone which would have meant I would have had to type it again. Is there a way you can set it up that the comment remains in the box and we just put in the letters again? I hope that makes sense. lol

Marie:

Forgot to say one thing:
To avoid clearstamps stamping uneven, like what happened to the first robot you stamped, you can use a foambase under the paper you're stamping on. Check out my video on "The secret weapon" (the foam base) to see more on this, where to get it etc.

Thanks for another great video ( I love MACM and Finally Friday )

I LOVE that robot stamp. He is so cute. I am very interested in trying out a blender pen, but am a little concerned because I am not much of an artist. Also, do you use the classic or craft Stampin' Up stamp pads? I want to get a set eventually, but am wondering which type to buy.

Hey!....on that twitter comment on who hit your car. Was it really bad? That is really, really rude. Please keep us posted! Poor little James. (isn't that what you name him? your Mazda right?)....lol! See I do remember a lot! Im such a fan of your blog! (giggles)

Michelle Cline:

Hey Kristina,
Love the card! I've been shopping around for a cute robot like that.

I have a tip for you to avoid the problem you were having with the clear stamps. Because unmounted stamps have no built in cushion, you need to use a "stamp mat". Any foam sheet will work. You can even use a mouse pad! Just place it under the paper you are stamping on. It should come out perfect every time!

I have begun a card swap club at my church, because I have been so inspired by you! Thanks!
