My perfect vacation would be my husband and I without and cares on a beach or a mountain top! TOO FEW times.
My perfect vacation would be Sydney Australia.
My brother lives there would love to see him and of course Sydney is a fantastic place to visit!

Perfect vacation? Oh that's easy, I've been finding myself day dreaming about it lately, Fiji, with the family with NOTHING to do, but play & relax. How's that to escape the crazy rollercoaster of life ... oh yes, we'd have to teleport there, because flying with 3 kids that far, might not start the vacation off well.
Kristina, I do get mini get aways in the craft studio thanks to your blog. You're awesome, have fun in Disneyland.
The I trip I would like to take with my husband is to cruise the Hawaiian islands.

I love the Home Alone vacation! The whole place to myself, with no visitors. Dreamy!
My perfect holiday would be two weeks at home with my hubby and my little dog in the summer. It has been 20 years since we have had a fortnight off during the summer - the last time being our honeymoon. We sometimes get a longer break at Christmas but it's dark and cold and usually miserable. I enjoy the simple things in life like my garden, the countryside and just being with my hubby and hound so it doesn't cost much - it's being chained to our business that stops us having a fortnight!
Oh to dream.....my perfect vacation would be me and hubby on a tradewinds island, and both of us would be buff, so we could wear the perfect clothes, or not, and look like those gorgeous commercials with billowy sheer white fabric blowing around us. BUT!!! FOR NOW my perfect vacation is when we take the granchildren, and their moms and dads to Disney World for 3 weeks this March! Yup that is what I said three weeks! LOL!YIPPEEEEE cannot wait! My perfect vacation would be the one I am taking in Feb. My husband and I are going on a cruise. We are cruising the Caribbean and we have a balcony suite. We are so looking forward to just lazing around, laying in the sun, and just relaxing.
My perfect vacation would be.....a week at the Lake with my family. It doesn't get any better than that!
My favorite vacation would be to go to Europe with my husband, but since finances aren't what they should, I will just dream!
I really would love to go to Hawaii one of these days we are saving our change in a jar for several years and when it reaches the top just my husband and I will go on vacation without the kids!

My perfect vacation is one with my husband on a beach doing nothing but relaxing.
I think my perfect vacation would be one sitting on a patio in the meditrainian somewhere. Sitting back with my family and some friends drinking something fun. Watching the kids run around. Or on a private beach on a Hawaiian island with just my husband.
My perfect holiday would be to stay in a mansion in a vineyard, with my kids and my husband, driving around the day exploring different parts/villages of Provence and return to a Michelin rated dinner every night.
Ah, perfect vacation would be a trip to Bali with my husband relaxing amongst the rice padi fields....

My perfect vacation would be a week on the beach with my family. We love to jet ski and go out on my brother's boat.
I absolutley love Walt Disney World and I could go there a million gazillion times and there would always be something new and special to experience!!

I'd love to go back to Yellowstone for a week with my husband and kids. Two days wasn't enough last time we were there.

I would love to go to New York with my husband. (the kids would have a wonderful time with grandpa and grandma) :-) My husband and I often stay up waaaay too late because after we've put the kids to bed, we still want time for us. It usually ends in us falling asleep on the couch. haha. I'd love it if it was snowing while we were there, too!

I would love to go on an Alaskan cruise with my husband, son, brother, sister-in-law, and their twin babies. My kid brother is coming home in a few weeks from a year in Iraq and hasn't seen his babies most of their first year of life. Laughing, sightseeing, and just spending time with all of them together (since we live in different parts of the country, and, at the moment, the world) would be the ultimate vacation. :-)

I've always wanted to go to Ireland. It would be a two week trip with my husband, children, their spouses and their children.
My "perfect" vacation right now would be a trip to disney world. I would want to share it with my hubby and my little bear. My husband and I are such big kids and have only been there once... and If I did not bring my daughter I would miss her too much.

My current Vacation is the best... I went up to CT with my DH and no kids for a week. I've been able to see lots of snow since my hometown has very few flakes a year.
My perfect vacation would be to finally go on my honeymoon. My husband and I want to go to Hawaii and just hang out at the beach and relax for 10 days. I would love to fly first class and not have to think about working or anything. Unfortunately, my husband almost died 2 weeks before we got married. Our wedding and honeymoon were canceled. He finally had his last surgery to recover from the whole process 2 years ago.
My dream? Maui, baby. Maui.
This time I'd bring the whole family - and a babysitter. I would get spa treatments, lay by the pool watching the kids play with my DH and maybe muster the energy to join them every few hours. We'd eat like kings and queens, spare no expense, go on fun excursions- the works.
BTW, in this dream I'm a size two, glowing skin, and dressed in the chicest vacation attire.

I just had the most perfect vacation last October. My husband and I started in Seattle and drove all the way down to San Diego. I would love to do that again but next time start in Boston and end up in DC. I love road trips and love spending my vacations with my husband. What i love about it the most is how we just drove where our garmin would take us....we didnt have a schedule and didn't have a plan. we just drove and saw the world the way it should be seen. it was such a beautiful drive.

One would be anywhere warm and kid friendly to spend some quality time with my two sons (2 and 4) and my husband. Returning to Walt Disney World would be the ultimate destination!
Another would be a cruise alone with my husband for a second honeymoon. Anywhere, I will take it! :-)
These two trips are on my "to do" list; hopefully it can be done in the next few years!

My favorite vacation would be St George Island with all my friends and family and it would last at least 2 weeks.

It's not a case of 'what would be' but 'what is' our favourite place to vacation. We love Fraser Island, we being my hubby, myself and our four children. And we do it in style by camping! It's great fun, and Fraser Island is just stunning.

Sa-WEEEt Kristina! The perfect vacation for me is actually this coming Monday 01/26/09. It's been a long, long time since me & my hubby went on vacation because I was in nursing school. And there was no way no how of doing any vacations during those 2 years. Now that I'm an RN now were taking our perfect little vacation on Carnival Cruises to Ensendada, Mexico for a week.

It I could go anywhere right now, I would head out to Nova Scotia. I recently met my birth mother (she came to Ontario to meet me), but I have a brother and other family members that I have never met. I'd love to finally meet them all and spend time seeing where they grew up.

Dream vacation? A cruise to the caribbean with a balcony room. DH and I in one room, and kids in adjoining suite. Probably include my parents and brother/SIL to help broaden the availability of others we like to do stuff with :) several snorkeling adventures and beach relaxation, with lots of water time (parasailing, boat rides, jet skis). Whew - may just have to book it!!

I have only been to London, England so far and it was for work, so I didn't get to do much sightseeing except for one day in London doing all the main touristy stuff. My hubby and I experienced the perfect vacation this past September. We went on a 7-day cruise. This was our first cruise and we were totally 100% blown away by the cruising experience. This has been a dream for us. We just celebrated our 28th anniversary in Dec. We talk about the cruise constantly. Very fulfilling trip. We can't wait, but have to, to cruise in 2010. Oh, we went to Nassau, St. Thomas & St. Maarten(sp).
Our favorite vacation is camping. We began camping 6 years ago after I was diagnosed with breast cancer. It is such great family time. Even though our children are now 14 and 16 they haven't outgrown camping. No telephone or tv but we do have lots of games. We love to learn a new card game on each camping trip. The other great part of camping is that my husband does almost all the cooking over the fire outside (both he and our son are Eagle Scouts). Just writing about this is making me look forward to spring and the next camping trip!

My dream vacation would be to take my husband and 2girls to Germany to see Crazy Ludwigs Castle..Neuswanstein or however it is spelled. It's the castle that Cinderella's castle at Disneyworld is modeled after!

I would spend the entire month of May on the island of Santorini (Greece--like in the travelin pants movies). I would sit on the caldera with my DH and just watch the sunsets and water. At least once a week we would go to the Archipelago restaurant and sit outside overlooking the lagoon and sip wonderful Greek barrel wine. We would take the bus to Oia at least once a week, too and mingle with the other locals and tourists there to celebrate the sunset. I would rest each afternoon with the gentle breezes blowing in the window and at night, we wouldn't eat dinner until 10:00 because that's the custom. . .thanks for the dream!
There are so many places I want to see still--New Zealand, Australia, Europe, New York--but the perfect vacation is a week with my DH and two kids we don't have yet (lol) in Disneyland!

My perfect vacation would be to go somewhere warm, no phones. Just a nice cabin on the lake with all my stamping supplies and being able to stamp to my hearts content. Of course I would have to bring along some reading material as I am a avid reader. On second thought a cabin on the lake, stamping, reading and close to a race track as I am also a avid sprint car fan. What a dream vacation that would be.
I would looooove to go to the caribbean with my hubby but unfortunately he won't fly. Even drugs won't get him on a plane so I just have to dream....

My perfect vacation would be to go to Hot Springs, AR with my most wonderful hubby of almost 25 years. I would stay at the Arlington Hotel and get a massage every day I was there. Just kick back and relax. No kids, no phone, no work, etc. Get the picture?!?!?! If you have never had a massage you should go and get you one at Hot Springs!! It is absolutely to die for!!
My perfect vacation would be goind to new Zeland with my little family. My husband talks about it ofter for us to go in a few years when our kids will be a little older... Anything is possible, we'll see...

My perfect vacation would be leaving all technology behind and spending a week in the snow - skiing, snowshoeing, and just enjoying the white fluffy stuff.
My dream vacation is to go back to Spain and stay at an hotel on or across from the beach with a balcony. I would go with my husband and one other couple. I went to Spain in 1986 and stayed at an hotel across from the beach and I had a balcony I would sit there and watch the sunset.
My family is planning a trip out west in the summer of 2010. We will visit state parks along the way and take in the beauty that is our country! I would leave today if we could.
My favorite vacation would probably be to Disneyworld. We love Disney and there is something for all of us. We went when our oldest son was 2 1/2 and the twins were one...that was a little rough, but they will be 2 next month and it would be easier. My perfect vacation would be a week in DISNEY WORLD!!! I can't help it...I LOVE that place!!! I worked there for about a year after college at Animal Kingdom, went there on my honeymoon, and went back on a family vacation with the in-laws and extended family. I can't wait to take my almost two year old.

I'm currently dreaming of a Mediterranean cruise with my husband, with stops in Barcelona, Marsailles, and Sicily to name a few. Sun, sea and new horizons! Bliss!
I think my perfect vacation would be somewhere warm (Hawaii or Austrailia). I would have nothing planned and just be able to relax with family or good friends.
Right now it would be any place with blue skies and sunshine. We have been under deep cloud cover for over two weeks. I suppose my perfect vacation is different than most. I love to go to Las Vegas. The hotel rooms are top notch, the food incredible and no mattter how many times we go (twice a year) I always find new things to see and do.
i would take my best friend who is really a family to me and we would go on a crusie to greece. i think that would be good for us since we are married and have two boys and too much boys in the house means we both need a girl vacations bad lol. but greece would be perfect for us.
Japan...my mom is from Japan & I've been wanting to go & see where she grew up.

I would take my children on a "road trip" to Miami. Every summer, when I was a child, we would head to Miami from Chicago. I remember all of the wonderful old "kitchy" diners and motels, especially one we affectionately title "arsenic and old lace". Have fun in Disney!
My perfect vacation would be just me and the husband and would involve one of those private, secluded huts that are really luxurious but are very remote. And the weather would have to sunny but not too hot. The actual location doesn't matter as much as the little details.
I have 5 kids and the oldest is 3 (then 2 year old quadruplets) right now a vacation is when I go into the bathroom and shut the door!!! So...I'd love to go to Sanibel Island (Florida) and walk on the beach and swim in a pool and have lunch by the pool! Take a nap, read lots of books and relax with my husband!!!!! It is funny that you ask this question. My boss who tried to talk me into a cruise last week, thinks I'm crazy. My idea of an ideal vacation would be to backpack through Europe. The less that it is planned, the better. I would love walking around everywhere exploring the nooks and crannies of different countries throughout Europe without having a care in the world. If I had to sleep under the stars, fine by me. The more spontaneous, the better!

My perfect vacation is a summer is Southern France. Rent a little house by a beach that's not too frequented by tourist. Excursions to Spain and Italy -- or even Morocco. Of course stop in Paris so that hubby can say he's been there. Eating and drinking great French goodness with the family.

I have a three year old and 2 year old quadruplets so a vacation for me is hiding in the bathroom right now!!!
I would love to be on Sanibel Island (or any beach) and wake up and go out to breakfast, come back and take a long walk on the beach then relax at the pool while reading good books and swimming in the pool. I'd have lunch by the poolside , take an afternoon nap and then slowly get dressed to go out to a nice dinner. I'd sleep the entire night through without any interruptions. I'd be with my husband and we'd enjoy every minute! We'd miss the kids terribly but we'd be strong!

I actually just got to take my perfect vacation in October. After 9 years of planning/saving we were able to take our 7 and 9 year old to Disney World for 10 days. It was the most fabulous trip ever. We had so much fun. The memories and 800 pictures we took will hopefully last forever. Being with my husband and children at a place where everyone can be a kid was really the best. I don't think I can ever beat this vacation. It was just so perfect. Thanks for letting me share.

I would love to travel to japan. I have been fascinated since watching a travel show about it like 8 years ago. I had hoped that while I was in the military that I would have gotten sent there, but nope, it's still my number one dream spot.
That's easy! :o) My perfect vacation would be a 6-week-holiday in the US, preferably on the east coast in and around Boston. But then I also love Yosemite and Yellowstone... And Florida is also a great place to be... Maybe 6 months would be better ;o)

It might not be my favorite, but it's necessary. I'd go to Disneyland, and go with my hubby and 4 kids since none of us have ever been! But it's still 5 years away when my baby will be old enough to remember, incase we can only afford to go once.
My perfect vacation would be a quiet trip into British Columbia, Canada. We currently live in Alberta (right next door to B.C.), but my husband has never been across the border. I, however, have been into B.C. several times and twice to Victoria. Since I have such fond memories of these trips, I wish I could share with my hubby and our two girls the wonder of the mountains and the beauty of the ocean. I am sure the girls would probably pick Disneyland over this any day, but I still think that it would be a wonderful family destination.

We went to the UK, rented a car and just drove from London to Wales to Scotland staying at B&B's with NO reservations!. It was out first time driving on the left side of the road and it was a blast! You can put your Kindle in a clear ziploc baggie and read on the beach and not worry about sand or water. My hubby also does this in the bathtub. Love my Kindle too.

Our best vacation was St Croix last summer...ah. It was beautiful there and we couldn't get enough of the sun and ocean. Sounds especially good right now with the outside temps!

My perfect vacation is a mixture of relaxation and exploration mixed with exhileration. Last year, we went to Marco Island, Florida where we relaxed by the pool and at the beach, explored the Everglades by fanboat and went parasailing.
Travel anywhere? Where DON'T I want to travel...? I always love going overseas, but I think if I had unlimited money and time, I'd probably take the family and do about a month of travel in the US. Perhaps do the motor home thing and head west... Or east... or south... Probably not north for a while.

My perfect vacation would be going to the Smokies (love it there) with my husband and daughter and renting out a cozy cabin to stay in. We'd have a little family road trip there and then have little family adventures once we got there. I just love going places with my daughter, especially places she's never been before because of all of the excitement she has. It's like going somewhere for the first time for me, too! It's wonderful. I just think a little cozy cabin in the middle of the Smokies would be so much fun. :)

My favourite vacation to date has been the "Great American Road Trip" I took with my husband in 2007. We drove from our home in Regina, Saskatchewan down through Montana, North Dakota and South Dakota. We were gone for about 10 days, and we left without really any plans. We didn't have anywhere to be at a certain time. We didn't have any hotel reservations. We brought our tent and sleeping bags so we could camp if we wanted. It was FANTASTIC to spend so much time with him, and it not be structured or stressful.
My dream vacation would be to go somewhere hot with my husband in the middle of winter. In Saskatchewan we get days, and sometimes weeks of -40 weather. I would love to be able to leave that all behind and go on a cruise, or to an all inclusive resort in a hot location and just relax for a week.

My perfect vacation would be spending a week or two in Tuscany. I love the colors, textures, and sights the countryside has to offer, and I would LOVE to see it in person. I would bring my sister with me... since my fiance wouldn't appreciate all the beauty. Wow that sounded kinda corny. ...and I'd want us to travel it on our own... no tour buses. Hmm. Makes me want to watch "Under the Tuscan Sun" for the fifty miliionth time....
Any tropical island would do! I need the warmth and the sunshine - especially in the winter!

ahhh my perfect vacation right now would be...ITALY...I so want to go there and enjoy the land the food the wine...did I say wine...ahh the red wine!!! I of course would be spending this amazing trip with my husband...ahh I can dream right!!! :)

Two years ago, we took the kids to a resort outside of St. Louis. It was so fun to swim, play games, explore the local museums/zoo, and just have family time. I hope to do it again this summer. That magical family time was even better than cruising to Bermuda. So my ideal vacation would be spoiling my kids anywhere away from home so I don't have to think about work or email.

My perfect vacation would be a whole family vacation (extended family included) to a kid friendly resort. Sand, ocean, and my parents there to watch --ahem, I mean, have quality time with the kids while my hubby and I have some quality time -- alone :-) I couldn't imagine going without my kids so this lets us all enjoy!

Right now I'm dreaming of somewhere warm and sunny. I think my first choice would be to take my kids to Hawaii. They've never been to a warm sunny beach where they could swim in the ocean. I know it would be the vacation of a lifetime. Thanks, K-Dub. I've got my eye on those precision files! *wink*
