Color Inspiration #31

Good morning, friends! It's bright and early here--or not so bright (sun's not out yet), but definitely early--and I wanted to get this week's challenge posted so ya'll can start in on these yummy-licious colors!
You'll recognize the photo from my post about this weekend. I love this little wreath that's on our door, and I hope you do too!

Join us: Make a card/scrapbook page/whatever in the colors above. Color Inspiration virgins, please read the Color Inspiration FAQ first. Deadline: Friday, November 21 at 7:00 pm MT. I'M EXTENDING THE DEADLINE because Mr. Linky was down for a good portion of the day on Wednesday. You will know when the deadline has past because you will not able to submit a new link through the Mister Linky box. Grab this week's swatch-only image. |
NOTE: Mr. Linky's was a bit wonky on Wednesday, so I extended the deadline. If you were unable to add a link earlier, please add one now. Thanks!

I reserve the right to delete links that are posted incorrectly.
Has your link been deleted? There's probably a reason why. Check the FAQ.

Lovely colour combo!!
Just a quick question for you!
I have recently gotten into stamping. I bought a really cute set from inkadinkado and i noticed that the stamps are not holdin ink very well. The image is not the greatest! Do you have any suggestions?
These colors were kind of a challenge for me...

Mr. Linky comes and goes. He was gone earlier yesterday and then I saw him last night and looked at a few entries and then he's gone again. Here's mine, but I'll come back to see if I can post to him too:

So, this doesn't have anything to do with the challenge, but I was searching your blog for birthday card ideas (my hubby is turning 30 tomorrow) and I saw that you went to BYU-Idaho. I did too...for two years. I went in 2000 and 2001 (it changed to BYU-Idaho while I was still there). Good times. I lived in the non-cooking dorms--now married dorms--my first year and Heritage Manor (big white complex) my second year. I then went to BYU-Hawaii for a semester and finished at Provo. So I did the tour!
I love your website. Thanks for all the inspiration and great videos! I really look forward to Mondays and Fridays so I can see what new creation you've come up with!

Trying to repost so you can see my blog address. Hope it works this time! If not, it's chadnginnie.blogspot.com.

Love the colors again Kristina! It puts me in the Thanksgiving spirit!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
I LOVE these colors - they are so me. It was nice to have a relatively 'easy' challenge (for me anyway) and a purpose (my DH's birthday) in creating the card. Thanks Kristina! (Also, I have NO idea why there's a smiley by my name. Does that show up for everyone?)
Great fall colors! here is my On the Mend card:

I've linked with Mister Linky lol!

Thanks so much for this challenge. Love the colours.

Thanks for the last couple of challenges Kristina. I've been wanting to play with Elegant Eggplant again but just haven't been inspired until you used it in your challenges
Hi Kristina,
This is my first time doing one of your challenges. What fun :-)
Blessings,
Cindy
What a lovely rich exotic colour combination I will use it again at home here as my friends will love it to I chose to do a 6x6 scrap page thanks again

Hello Kristina
What an interesting combination of colors. They complement each other so well. This is my first attempt at one of your challenges.
I am still trying to find Mr Linky to upload there. In the meantime, here it is:

Here's my card - I'm number 96 - and I LOVE Mr. Linky!!
http://understandblue.blogspot.com/2008/11/you-can-take-your-hypotenuse-and.html
This was my first challenge, and what a challenge it was. Not sure if I'm happy or not with the result but loved the colours. They looked great in your wreath.
Fabulous colors! Not sure why, but I always have trouble with Elegant Eggplant. Thanks for the push to use it!
The colours were out of my comfort zone this week but I had fun doing the challenge. I love doing your challenges every week and I can not wait until next weeks colours.
I left a comment last night but it seems to have disappeared???? so I hope I'm not dublicating here - here is my color On the Mend card: http://createwithjulia.blogspot.com/2008/11/two-color-challenges-and-sketch.html
I love your wreath inspiration!
Another great inspiration! Thanks for looking.
This was definitely a push forward for me to make a wedding invitation design I had in mind but no time to make it. I love these colors together. Thanks for hosting this challenge
Kristina- I have to apologize, I messed up with my inital Mr Linky posting. I reposted with the proper link. Sorry for the mix up- I know you have a lot of stuff to wade through and I didn't mean to make it more difficult!
Thanks again for all of your hard work with the colour challenges. I love how it pushes me to work outside of my comfort zone! You help to inspire me to create!
Oh, Mister Linky, where have you gone? Will you come back to us? You were so wonderful! Just in case you don't, here's my card!
http://stampingarden.blogspot.com/2008/11/kristinas-color-inspiration-31.html
Posted mine - even though I used burgundy instead of eggplant by mistake. Guess I shouldn't craft after 11 p.m. !!
These were tough colors for me to work with. I would've NEVER put brown and purple together, but that's why you're the creative genius and not me!!!
Thanks for the challenges and videos, I love 'em!
My link disappeared, so I've added it again to Mr. Linky!
http://www.verastamps.com/2008/11/19/snakeskin-technique/
yowza this was a tough one!!
Great colour combo - not one that I would have put together myself but enjoyed working with it. I was also inspired by your wreath as you can tell from my card. Thanks again Kristina!
