MACM - Merry Christmas

100608-macm.jpg Good morning, all! I hope your weekend was fabulous! Me, I spend most of it organizing my craft room. Is it just me, or am I ALWAYS organizing my craft room? :)

Anyhow, even though it's only October, it's never too early to start on your holiday cards. So, here's my first official Christmas MACM of the year. However, I won't subject you to holiday music until November. (Although, I've been listening to Christmas music since... oh, July?)

I don't know about you, but I {heart} this stamp by Hero Arts. It's so adorable! I just love those little owls! :)

Oh, and before I forget, I've made my card for the Color Inspiration challenge this week, and I've selected my favorites. I just need to compile them all. I'll post them tomorrow morning.

Anyway, here's today's video. (Watch in high quality here, and then click on the "Watch in High Quality" link below the video. Seriously, it makes a HUGE difference.).

Supplies: Three Owls stamp (Hero Arts); Polka Dot Basics stamp set; Pure Poppy card stock; ribbon (Papertrey Ink); Garden Green, Whisper White, and Old Olive card stock; Chocolate Chip ink; Garden Green, Only Orange, Tempting Turquoise, Chocolate Chip Basic Black, and Real Red markers; corner rounder punch; blender pen (Stampin' Up!).

Hi Kristina- cute card.. as usual! :)

no, you are definitely not the only one. As many times as I try to plan my stampin space to have enough room for future toys, I am always running out of room and have to reorg it all again. I am reorganizing like 3 times a year.. at least it seems. The cleaning and organization of the craft room never ends.. like laundry or dirty dishes.. :)

have a great Monday!

Jennifer, that yellow box is not there when I edit the video. For some reason, YouTube is messing up my videos. I'm trying to figure out what it's doing. :(

Hi Kristina! Great card again, I really must have a go at the clear embossing. I looks great.

Just a tip with the stamp-a-majig, I have been using patchwork/quilters template plastic as the imaging sheets. I just cut up several 5 1/2 inch squares from a sheet. Its so cheap and can be found at quilting store or any large craft/hobby store. (just an idea for those who are budget minded).

Thanks for the inspiration!

Yes, that is the cutest stamp! You've got me embossing so much more now. Even found a spot to keep my embosser out for easy use.

I love the owl stamps. I'm stalking the hero arts site and buying owl stamps!!!! Great card. Do you practice or create a card before you tape MACM? Or do you just go with it and the creativity just come naturally?

Love it!
Quick question for oyu, Kristina: Why did you use blender pens with the markers instead of markers directly on the image? I'm guessing it's because you wanted to control the color more carefully??? Thanks!
