MACM - Merry Christmas

102008-macm.jpgHi all! Here we go again--it's time for Make a Card Monday! :)

Not a whole lot to talk about this morning. Just that I've been madly replacing all the music in my videos. About half of them have been replaced and are available at Revver.com (click here for my profile). All though I'll still upload my videos YouTube, I'm trying out Revver for the time being.

The main difference between YouTube and Revver is the fact that Revver pays all of it's content providers (video makers) with ad revenue. YouTube on the other hand only pays those who are in their partner program--and it's SUPER hard to get into the program. So basically YouTube sits back and makes money off it's video makers. Just doesn't sit right with me. And since I have monthly costs to maintain kwernerdesign.com, any little bit of money coming in each month is helpful. Ya know what I mean? :)

Anyway, hopefully all the videos will be back by the end of this week.

I'll be back tonight to post the Color Inspiration Challenge selections. I apologize for taking so long posting these each week. It's getting harder and harder to carve out the time.

Anyhow, here's the vid!

Supplies - Bazzill Kraft card stock, Making Memories patterned paper, Stampin' Up! ribbon, Hero Arts Three Trees stamp set, Colorbox Ink, Stampin' Up! Very Vanilla card stock, Papertrey Ink Mixed Messages stamp set

Hi Kristina. This is so cute! I saw these stamps the other day and told myself "no more tree stamps." Now, you're gonna make me go back to pick them up!! hee! You're such an 'enabler!'

Hi Kristina! Love your videos, I have been watching them for over a year :) I'm not sure if this might make a difference in your decision of rewer vs. youtube, but some firewalls block rewer (like mine at work, sad day). Luckily I was still able to watch today's MACM on youtube. Great card!!

Kristina,

Love your card! Thanks for taking your time to share with all of us. Maybe you might have to let something on your blog go, we love you, but after all you do have a life.

No, don't let anything go! LOL! Don't let the "color inspiration" series go - I love that!

Anyway, the video was great and fun idea for a Christmas card!

Interesting that it had Google ads across the bottom of it. It wasn't too distracting, though, and one of them was for Stampin' Up!

So simple, so cute! It took me three times to make it through the video though, I had so many interruptions! I do enjoy your MACM's!

Awesome card Kristina!!! I just got a Christmas set and you gave an idea of a pretty card!!! Thanks so much.
BTW, the video this time was slow and I have high speed connection, maybe because for all the adds or maybe is my computer??? LOL.

Have an awesome day.

I know what you mean about trying to "carve out time" in your day. So many things to do. It's all about what's a priority for me, but still, it's hard. Beautiful card!! It's simple, and I love that!

I think the artists will be sad to hear you're not using their music. I was introduced to a group I had not heard of from one of your videos. I loved them and went out and purchased their CD. Oh well, I still love your videos and love to scraplift your card ideas. Hope they're royalty free. (Ha! Ha!) Keep'em coming.

What a cute and simple card I love it. I do have a quick question about the music...where are you getting your Royalty Free Music? I would love to know so that in my future endeavors to create videos I can use royalty free music!

Hi Kristina,
For those people who couldn't get the video to work, they should try a browser other than Internet Explorer. Your video wouldn't start when I was using IE, but it worked fine in Firefox.

Hi, sweet card...You could work a little higher on your "stage".... the ads block a little of the card out the way you did this...Just a helpful suggestion I hope.

Hi Kristina, The video picture is better viewing quality but there was some echoing with your voice when you were speaking in the beginning. Other than that it worked just fine. And for the ones who complained about the ad being in the way..All you have to do is click on the X and the ad goes away.
I will miss the music but that is certainly NOT the important material here is it. I love your MACM and FFV videos. Thankyou for sharing your time and talent with us. :)

Hi Kristina

I love the simplicty of all your cards. This one is lovely. Wish I could tie such a neat bow and believe me I have tried...even saw your tutorial on it. Need to keep practising as I love the look of it on the card.

Thanks for taking time out of your busy schedule to share. Will not be able to take part in the CC the next few weeks but would sure make time to see all the entries when tax filing for all my clients are done. Have a great week.

As usual, i love your card. Don't feel guilty about the music. I loved so many songs you played; it intoduced me to artists and helped boost sales. I'm sure you actually helped artists.

With a christmas-theme card, I missed your great selection of Christmas music. Isn't it Ella Fitzgerald who belts out great tunes that you've used in the past? Kind of missed that holiday cheer, but I understand.

Whatever works best for you!

We are all just so thankful that you share all of your talents with the world!

Truth be told, I purchased a new Mac the other day via the internet. Then, when we went to Best Buy, I had to see just how big a 24" monitor was in real life.... HOLY COW! It is, as Buddy the elf would say, GINORMOUS!

At Best Buy, I pulled up your blog and watched the Finally Friday video clip - just to see what the experience would be like on such a large Mac. No matter what, your videos ALWAYS ROCK!!

Kristina, your Christmas card was so adorable! I pretty much copied it and made one myself. I LOVE it!! I had to use a different stamps and colors, but I was so happy with how it turned out! I'm going to use it for the Christmas SAS my mom and I are doing this coming Friday. Thanks for sharing your ideas with all of us!

Oh i just actually read this article. I was wondering what was going on when I clicked on your blogs video tab and it took me somewhere besides youtube. That is really good news about using revver over youtube. We appreciate your work and you should receive compensation! Even if only so you can buy more supplies to do more work... for us! LOL... Happy Halloween :o)
