If you've ever had back issues...
I'm sure you can relate. If you haven't, please be patient.
I'm not sure exactly what I did, but I've injured my back pretty severely. Between standing on concrete floors for a week at Convention, throwing my nieces and nephews around this week while playing with them, and exercising maybe a bit too hard, my back is like, "Whoa. Remember me? REMEMBER ME?!!"
Yes, my back is screaming. The annoying thing hasn't stopped since Thursday afternoon. And all I can pretty much do is keep popping pain killers and grimace as I try to move.
Poor Jen, roommate-who-must-have-been-sent-from-heaven, has been listening to me complain and gripe all weekend.
"Ow! Owie owie ow!!! Um, Jen..."
"Yeah?"
"Will you come get the eggs off the bottom shelf of the fridge?"
Long story short, I totally tried making a card for the challenge this week (it was going to double as MACM, too)--seriously, I did! I even sketched it out so I wouldn't have to be sitting at my desk too long. But alas, there is no way in hades that I'm going to be able to sit that long.
I'm going to see someone about my back tomorrow. Enough of this crap. I want to be able to at least function normally. That's my goal for tomorrow. Wish me luck!
In the meantime, why don't all of you SU! fans tell me what you're ordering out of the new catalog tomorrow... Leave a comment. :)

I hope you feel better really soon!
I would tell you want I am going to order, but, alas, I have not received my catty! One of the downfalls of being a hobby demo and not ordering a whole case of them!
I'm sure my wish list will be long, though!
Feel better!
Sarah
Wow, I am praying for you to at least feel less pain soon. Poor dear. Can you watch good movies at least, once your pain killer kicks in? What a trooper trying to make a card in this state of agony.
In terms of what I am ordering from the new catalog, hehehe, why don't you tell me which paper you designed and I'll buy it ALL?
I'm not a demo, so I am only going by what I have been able to gather from sneak peaks. So this is subject to change.
Total must haves:
Scallop Edge Punch
Curly Label Punch Set (punch and stamps)
Large Oval Punch
Decorative Brads
In Color Ink Pads
In Color Ribbons (anxious to see them)
In Color DSP and Cardstock
A cool new background stamp (hoping for this)
Cool new DSP
Stamp set, I think it's called "old fashioned puns"? It has old camera, sewing machine, etc.
My demo has told me there is narrow so saffron and chocolate chip ribbon. Be still my heart.
Hi Kristina,
I'm so sorry to hear about your back pain...I understand what it's like. Take care of yourself, rest, and ask the dr. for a great muscle relaxer!
The first thing on my list to order is the BIG SHOT! and the second thing is A Rose is a Rose stamp set to go with the Bella Rose dsp!
Take care.
Ouch! That's sounding rather horrid, I hope you haven't done anything serious and the Dr has you fixed in no time (and without any more pain!).
As for the new catty, well... I don't live in the right country to order from it tomorrow!
Well, it looks like I'll be signing up for the discount while the $99 special is available. I'll be going for the home decor kit because my home is in serious need of some decorating.
I'm sending healing thoughts your way!
As someone who has a serious, long-term back problem I can totally sympathize with you. There is nothing worse than feeling completely helpless and in pain at the same time. I really hope that you are feeling much better soon.
As I'm in Australia I won't be getting anything from the new catty :( But from what I've seen of the sneak peaks so far there's a lot of stuff that I seriously hope makes it into our next one!
Kristina.. I can totally relate. I was in a car accident 25+ years ago and hurt my back really bad.. meds and physical therapy got me back on my way. I hope that you get to feeling better soon.
For my first order, just trying to stay around $150 for each order so that I can get some Lvl 1 hostess sets.. this is what I think my first order will be:
Ghostly DSP
Holiday DSP
Sweet Always DSP
Rose is a Rose
Skeeter Wheel
Under the Stars
Pocket Silhouettes
Season of Joy
Nature Silhouettes
unless I add more.. my next order will be the Halloween sets that I think are too darn cute!
get well soon! Pam
So sorry to hear that you're in so much pain. Make sure you take it easy and hopefully you're able to rest comfortably soon.
New catalogue - I'm in Australia too so we'll just have to dream of what we hope will make it into our IB&C next April.
Sneak previews are looking great though.
I can sympathize with you on back pain. I finally got a referral from my doctor for Physical Therapy and wish I had done it sooner. At the slightest hint of returning trouble, I do the exercises and avoid the problem. Sitting in the hot tub with the jets pounding my spine really helps loosen things up. The next best thing is a long hot shower, a Bufferin and at least one martini, not necessarily in that order! (lol)
Hope you feel better soon!
So sorry about your back! My DH has back issues all of the time. I have a few times & it is yucky! I am still playing with my order. Right now the Big Shot is on it (starter kit with bag) and the Tulipe die. Also, Vanilla HH, Autumn Harvest, Under the Stars & Skeeters wheel (just got back from Girl Scout camp a few hours ago!). Well, that's where I'm at right now. Short of robbing a bank, I should probably stop at this point!!
Oh NO! I'm so sorry about your back! That's the pits - please take care of yourself. I hope you are all better soon!
I STILL do not have my catty yet. I'm a hobby demo ... like someone else said, this is the down side of not ordering a case. So I'll sit and wait patiently! I did peek at a few "messy desk" blogs and I see quite a few things I think I will just HAVE to have!
Get well soon!
TJ
Feel better! Back problems are so so difficult!! and it usually takes time to feel better, too. The new catalog...well..I picked mine up Friday from my demo and was just sitting here going through it. I am new to SU! so my list is very very very long! I am probably going to get some good basic sets, and lots of paper!! I am just going to have to pick a "theme" and stick with it!
I have had back troubles one time in my life, when I was pregnant with my twins. It was awful, I hope you can find something to help you, it has to be the worst thing! And the new catalog I'm in so much trouble I want the new punches, new ribbon, new pp, and many stamp sets. 1st ones are the puns from the past and humor in high heels. I'm just so impressed with the entire catalog, it has such a great style and layout. All of you who work on this catalog should feel terrific!
Kristina,
I'm one of the "nerds" who made you take a pic with me at Convention. I was there with Melanie H. and Monica C. and we chatted when we were "supposed" to be in classes. Anyway, just wanted to tell you that I hope you feel better soon. You never realize how much you use things, like back muscles, abs, etc., until they hurt to use!! Take care, get some rest, and mend quickly!!!
As for what I'm order, what I'm NOT ordering that's new would be a much shorter list! ;) I LOVE all of "your" papers, for starters....
I hope your back starts feeling better soon and you can get back to crafting!
I am SO ordering the scallop edge punch and some of the new IC paper and ribbon and some of that cool new Bella DP!
Hi Kristina,
I have thrown my back out so bad I had to crawl on hands and knees to go from the bed to bathroom. I will share what I was told by the doctor and chiropractor.
If your stomache can tolerate IBuprofen, start taking three or four tablets regularly to take down the swelling. Alternate between cold packs and a heating pad on the sore area.
Even when your back recovers, you will need to be careful. I threw my back out a second time reaching for a sock from the clothes basket.
I hope you soon feel better.
Hi Kristina,
You are such an inspiration to me! Hurry and get better soon!
I am not a demo, but a SU fan. I'm ordering Flight of the Butterfly, the holiday DSP, Bella wheel for right now - had to narrow it down! Wish I knew what you designed!!
Sandy Kay
I would really just like to look at the new catty. Ontario, Canada has not received them yet (unless you went to convention).
It is not fun having back pain so I sure hope you find the help you need to bck on your feet again.
Take care.
Kristina,
I am very sorry to hear you are in pain! I pray that everything that the doctors would say is: "You are fine, honey. It is just some muscle spasm that would be aliviated with a few pills and rest."
What would I buy? I spent so much money this summer buying great supplies that I think I am going to let it pass... only for now. Plus I dont have much space.
Hugs for you , Kristina. I am seriously will have you in my prayers.
Ouch! I feel for you! I have injured my back before and it's a long, painful road to recovery! Get some help and hang in there! Umm, I'm not going to post my order for tomorrow, because it would take up too much space! lol! I'll post a pic when it comes in! lol! Feel better!
Kristina, I am so sorry to hear to hear about your back. I just recently went through back problems a couple of weeks ago. I took muscle relaxers and had a cortizone shot it didn't really help much, but I was at least able to move. So I went to a friend's house walked down some stairs and completely missed the bottom step, twisting my ankle! I thought I broke it, I didn't, but the good news is my back was perfect!!! (LOL) It didn't hurt anymore. It has been a week and still no pain! Please don't fall down any stairs, but it was kind of comical. :)
I don't know what I am going to order. I have to wait until tomorrow to see what is in the new catlog.
HOPE YOU FEEL BETTER!!!
Lori
You poor thing...back pain is awful, I hope you can feel better really soon.
Hey! I hope your back is feeling better soon! I have only hurt my back one time, and it was like a week before I could function. I used those heat wrap things the whole time and stayed as still as I could. ((hugs))
So far Ive got the new scallop edge punch, sock monkey set and the blue and green in color items.
my wish list is:
Owl together now
party hearty
putt putt
inspired by nature
upsy daisy
pocket silhouettes
kindred spirits
it's a plan
schoolbook serif numbers
abc images/upper/lower
contempo alphabet
Papers: Haiku, Green Tea,Ghostly greetings
on board loads of letters
Roof Garden
curvy label punch bundle
scalloped square punch
Oh Kristina! I do hope you are feeling better soon......thanks too for popping in here and letting us know how you are........ but you really should be resting!!
I, too, can only dream of ordering all the lovely goodies in that new catty of yours. I am looking forward to when it goes online so I can drool some more. I think that Scalloped Edge Punch is going to be a huge hit in Australia!
Rest up and get that back better ok?
I'm a total embellishments junkie! Don't get me wrong, I love the new sets but its the new punches, ribbon, and decorative papers that get me going! I can't wait to dive right in. My wish list is made, now all I have to do is get my catalog spiral bound and I'm set for the new year! WOOHOO!
I wrote out my wish list and had my 11 year old math genius son add it up for me while I kept my eyes closed! Seriously, I think I need EVERYTHING.
My top 3 favs are: all of the new Designer papers, flower fusion too, and the wide oval punch. If I didn't have the scallop edge punch already, that would have been my number one needed item.
Hope you feel better soon. Can't miss my weekly fix of MACM.
Oh Kristina, I am sooo sorry to hear of your pain! I will say a prayer for you!
I have a huge wish list for this catalog...need the Big Shot, all the fabulous new designer papers, ribbons, hardware...and the list goes on and on!
I am a happy girl! :)
Sorry to hear your back is killing you--definitely no fun! Hopefully you'll get fixed right up tomorrow! I am so excited to order from the new catalog--here's my list: House of Haunts amd Haunting wheel, Snow Swirled, Flight of the Butterfly (can't wait to try layering the main image with a pattern stamped acetate or vellum layer!), Upsy Daisy, Sweet Always DSP, button boquet, library clips (sooo cute!), and of course some coordinating ribbon. Now I just have to decide what I'll order right now and what I'll make myself wait for!
Oh Kristina, I'm sorry to hear of your back problems! My husband goes through it now and then and I just feel so badly for him. Hopefully the doc will fix you right up!
Here's some of the items from my list for tomorrow; since I'm a demo I got 3 sets from convention that I LOVE, so that helps, but here goes:
Big Shot bundle, Pocket Silhouettes and Upsy Daisy, lots of paper, new ribbon, scallop square punch & flower brads. Too much to list actually! I'm getting 3 free sets and have to have the Owl Together Now set, but will wait until the preview for the Holiday Mini to decide on the other 2.
I'll keep you in my prayers! Hang in there and a big shout-out to your roommate, Jen!
yikes- I can relate, mine sometimes goes for no apparent reason- it sucks- take it easy!!
I wish I could tell you what I'm oprdering but I dont have my catty yet!!! Canada is a bit slower- Definately teh In colours- those are awesome and some dies that I've seen in skeek peeks!!
I am so sorry to hear about your back. I have been praying for you since I read your twitter about the donut. My best advice is to alternate between 15 minutes of cold and 15 minutes of heat. Here is an exercise you can try: lay on your stomach, prop your elbows on a pillow and pull your head towards the ceiling - hold that for about 30 seconds at a time or as long as you can stand it. My brother is a chiropractor and that is what he tells me to do when I throw my back out. Hope you get feeling better soon!
Hugs,
Sam
ps. I am preordering the Big Shotz starter kit. :)
Back pain is the worst there is. I have thrown my back out more than I can count and I'm out of the game for weeks on end it seems. I hope you get it resolved quickly. In the meantime those Doan's back pills work as do the patches that you can stick to your back for 8 hours at a time.
Tomorrow I know I'm ordering the Big Shot Bundle and the Sweet Treats set for a swap and lots of the Halloween paper. I think that will be it for this order, but I have a list a mile long for the next 6 months.
I am waiting for the holiday mini so that I can put together a maximum order for my next quarter. I am a hobby demo and I made this quarter with the preview order and retiring list. I am going to grad school at Temple University so I must get the Owl Together Now set (that's our mascot). My sis has picked out the halloween paper as a must have. She such a Batman fan that the bat paper will be great for her scrapbook.
Hi Kristina
Oh yeah, back issues...hate to tell you, but your pretty much doing what your suppose to do. Pop the pain killers and don't move off the sofa or bed. I was down about a month. I never thought I could have pain like that. It was like someone was throwing hot water on my lower back. Sometimes, the best thing to do is go to the Emergency Room. I know they use ice to stop the inflamation. You might want to try a chiro, but I know, when you're in that much pain, the last thing you want is someone to manipulate your back. Hope you feel better soon. In the meantime, sometimes Hot Baths can eleviate the pain.
OUCH, nothing worse than back pain, know exactly how you feel! I also have dodgy knees and ankles that tend to give way when you least expect it - 15 years of calisthenics takes it's toll! Hope you're feeling better soon :)
As for what I am ordering - well it's a big fat zero - I'm in Australia and have to wait and cross fingers that all those new goodies make it into our catty in April 2009. It's probably a good thing though, cause from what I've seen, even if we only get a little of it, I'm going to be BROKE - my wish list is HUGE
Hope the doc says your OK. I've hurt my back too a few years back. Not fun.
Besides new In-Color stuff, I'm loving the Spanish sets in Celebrando Creatividad. I want Tarjetas con Bordes Festoneados. I also love the new Designer Brads and the new Flower Fusion colors. I want the new scallop border punch too. My list is long, but I'll have to pace myself.
I totally feel your pain! I hurt my back several months ago when I was picking up my baby and it hasn't been right since. Of course, I hate taking any medicine (and I'm a pharmacist too). I still live on ibuprofen and the sticky heat pads that last for hours. Take it easy and get some good exercises to strengthen too. As far as the catty goes, I have to have the new punches, pretty much all of the new DS paper, "cheers", all of the new christmas stamps. Okay, you get the point, I want everything!
Oh dear. Please know that our prayers are with you and a speedy recover. Back problems are nasty.
And ya ... what is on my newest wish list? Well it is far too long, far, far too long. Oh dear, somewhere DH is shuttering.
Blessings,
Amy.
Ouch, hope the back gets better real soon. Must not be nice.
As for products in the new catalogue, us Aussies can only but drool over what you are getting. Hopefully the good stuff comes our way next year.
Take care
I can relate to the back pain...nothing totally gets rid of the pain!!! The first thing I'm ordering is Owl Together Now. I'm almost positive I saw you're writing in sentiments from some of the new sets.Could you pleeease tell me where the real stuffed animal Sock Monkey in the catty came from? My sons wants one...but only that particular one. I'm hoping you have connections and can find out for me.....pretty please.
Patterned Papers!!!!! Can't wait to get my hands on some!!!
Ok, and maybe a 'few' other things. I use the term 'few' rather loosely....... :)
Hope your back feel better soon, poor girl!! Hang in there!
I hope you will feel some relief after you visit the doctor. Get well soon! The sets I want are ALL the cupcake sets and the wheel. I also want some dies.
They are so cool.
Jenna
Kristina,
Sorry your back is giving you trouble! Praying for ya.
As far as my wish list...I already have the Big Shot in my happy little hands...so of course I need DP! All of it. LOL I'm going to do a paper share with some of my customers. We want it all. And ofcourse, that U R Sweet Simply Scrappin' kit with your lovely handwritting is on that first order too!! :)
More prayers for your back,
-Bev
Back pain is definately not fun!
I have had several occasions where I severely strained my back. I love my Chiropractor... I go in for an adjustment and heat therapy then come home, pop 2 Aleve and go to bed... next day I'm like new! Seriously - It is my honest opintion that Aleve has GOT to be the best pain reliever for back pain/strain... I keep it on hand ALWAYS!
Hope you feel better soon, Kristina! Take it easy!
Ooooooohh! Sorry! HOpe you're feeling better soon. I have put in an order for 3 stamp sets :). Pocket silhouettes, big flowers background (?), and upsy daisey. I can't wait!
An injury to the back can be sooo frustrating, I am feeling your agony having been in your shoes. The thing I found most annoying was the pain's ability to linger. Be patient..when it seems like it's not going to "ever" get better..take heart, it will, eventually. Doesn't it also make you realize how many little movements we take for granted every day? Whenever my body finally gets over something uncomfortable I am doubly thankful for that feeling of "normal". I hope it is quick to heal, Kristina. Meantime, take it easy and read your Twilight books. I am reading Breaking Dawn. Wow.
Get better soon!
I'm getting my Big Shot :)
Take care,
Ilse
You poor thing! Rest up and look after yourself :)
I am in New Zealand so nothing new for us yet...but am soo hoping for the scallop punch...very cool!! Take care!
Ha! I'm waiting to see the new stamp sets before I set my mind to ordering anything! :o)
I'm so sorry to hear about your injury. I can totally sympathize with you. I had injured my back in a car accident 3 yrs ago and it hasn't been the same. I hope you get some good help and recover soon.
Hi Kristina..
So sorry to hear about your back.
I certainly understand about not feeling
up to any blogging or cardmaking.
I hope that it is not too serious and
that you will be back in action soon.
Meanwhile..relax and "Take it easy"
Hugs...
Dee
Kristina - Hope you feel better soon!!! I'm so sorry to hear about your back...hope it goes well tomorrow! Don't worry about us - you know a missed MACM just makes us even more hungry for the next one!
Ok, here's my list (I was the girl who took the pic with you on Aug 1st at convention so lots of my list is birthday money sponsored):
Big Shot Starter Kit & Bag (as well as the Pennant, Baskets & Blooms, Buttons, and Swirl die)
Stamp Sets:
Owl Together Now
Party Hearty
Pocket Silhouettes
Kindred Spirits
Season of Joy
Contempo Alphabet
*I may try and get the Stitched stamp set & background & hopefully the calendar alpha as well with my hostess benefit money
Simply Scrappin Kit: The baby boy one for a first year album that I'm making as a shower gift!!!
ALL THE NEW PUNCHES!!! I love the punches and cannot wait to get my hands on the scallop square and have fun with the new Ronald McDonald set!!! :)
Long list I know but I love it all - I spy your handwriting in a great SS Kit!!! I love the lined paper in that kit and I have always loved that color combo - that may go on my list too!!!
I hope you get well soon. Back pain is a bummer and it's no fun. I hope you bounce back fast!
Lisa
Hope you are able to get some relief from your pain and I'm wishing you a speedy recovery! I can empathize with your back pain.
My top 3 items from the new SU! catalog are:
scallop square punch
washington apple PP
owl together now stamps
take care!
naomi
I am so sorry to hear about your back, I have the same problem, in fact, I can't lift any of my grandchildren that are over twenty pounds--really hard when they lift their arms to me I have to take their hands and go sit down and let they climb up on my lap. I also have neck problems. Good luck, I hope you can find some relief. The catalog is awesome as usual and I am seriously thinking of taking out a loan so I can just buy everything I want now and gradually pay off my loan. I mentioned this to my husband but I don't think he really thought I was serious. Hope you feel better!!!
Sincerely, Maria Smith
I have had 2 back surgeries (not fun) one in 1989 and one on Valentines Day in 2000 both for ruptured disks.
I take really good care of my back now. Exercise, keep my weight down.
Anti- inflammatories are best (Ibuprofen or aspirin) cold packs are good for immediate injury as it tends to numb the pain and also reduces swelling. Also, I have found that magnesium has been a life safer. Magnesium citrate is the kind best absorbed by the body. Your muscles need magnesium to function and whenever I feel some tension in my back I head for the magnesium.
Take it for what it's worth. Hope you get feeling better.
Awww...I hope you feel better! You don't realize how much your back muscles move with the rest of your body till they hurt!!! Make sure even after you feel better that you are very careful. Backs tend to stay fragile sometimes for months after they have been injured or strained!
Hey Kristina,

Tamarra
PS it was great getting to meet you at convention!
You poor thing! I hope your back gets feeling better quickly. As far as the catalog... when are they going to post it online?! Don't they know people like me are dying to see it?? LOL!
Oh girl - I'm so sorry - back pain is the WORST. You better take it super easy. Get those Thermacare heat wrap things and alternate with a bag of frozen strawberries!
My wish list is $750 so you probably don't want me to list it here, but Pacific Point ribbon, Urban Garden & Haiku paper, and for sure Pocket Silhouettes, the bear and the owls!!
Hope you feel better soon chickie! :(
I haven't gotten my catty yet either, but I can't wait {rubbing hands together}.
Sorry about your back... a good chiropractor might do the right trick... they are great 'manipulators' {hee-hee}.
Hopfully, everything will get back to as close as normal as possible.
Miss your MACMs!
Marilyn
Thinking of you Kristina! Feel better soon!
(((hugs))) XX
You should so go and get your back checked hun! I remember when I hurt my back last (I think I just slept on it funny) I was in agony everytime I took a breath. So I can totally sympathise! I had a sports massage in the end which hurt like hell, but it worked. Took a week to right itself though, so you just take it easy! Hugs, Wxx
*HUGGLE* get better soon.
NOw what am I ordering at 12:00 Noon MST... welll Since I already ordered the Big Shot and LOVE IT. I will be ordering mostly stamps and supplies
Stamps: Cheers to you, Holiday Line Up, Santa's Line up Wheel, Bella Toile Back ground
So Saffron Poly Twill, the new Incolor Ribbons, The Pink Pirouette 1 1/4" ribbon(LOVE IT), Curly Lable Punch, Scallop Square Punch, Wide Oval Punch, 1 3/4" Circle Punch

Now off to work to make money so I can afford my order. GET BETTER SOON!
Hey Kristina!
Oh boy, nothing like having your back be hurting , and incapacitated when all your mind wants to do is play! Best advice, go see a doctor(meds) and a chiropractor(great relief). They really DO help. Then remember once this happens it WILL happen again so be careful when you over do something, like tossing little ones around. I am babysitting for my 1 year old grandaughter for this entire week while my daughter is at her Direct Sales Convention, and I am sweating the fact that next week I can be in your position! I hope it is just a pesky muscle spasm you have, and not something more serious. Feel better. Now for my list, it is $300 long so I won't post it, and I already bought the Big Shot! ..but can you say PUNCHES and DSP!
Hey Kristina:
Sorry to hear your not well, I don't know what is worse tooth ache or back pain or maybe even child birth LOL. Have you thought of seeing a Chiropractor, I have been seeing one and have worked for one for years, I have seen what fantstic work they can do. I am from Ottawa Ontario Canada but I am sure there are fantastic doctors there that can help, maybe not as fantastic as mine but who knows. Take care and don't push yourself to much give yourself a break.
Jo-Ann
Hope your back is back to normal quickly! I "put my back out" once while making my bed, absolutley took my breath away....managed to drive my self to the Dr. who announced "oh, you just put you back out". He did not seem to understand that I was in severe pain (and feeling that death was on my doorstep)........
Wish I had received a catalog....no free Demo catalog yet and no preordered either...pretty disgusted with SU at this point, serioulsy considering becoming an occasinal customer instead of a Demonstrator!!!
So sorry to hear about your back. Although I've never pulled my back out...I did have a car accident in th 70's and was flat on my back with a board under the mattress so as not feel so much pain...I feel for you and you are in my prayers...
First I have a huge order with the Big Shot and haven't decided yet what to get for free....
Then I am buying all the new DS paper, punches and embellishments.....for my second order.
AND, I need it all now so I will be expediting it!!!
hope you're well soon. know what it's like and don't wish it on anyone.
love your blog
can't figure it out because my cattie hasn't come yet and the sites not up yet. darn, darn darn.
Hope you are feeling better soon!
I would give you the order, but I haven't received my free copy or any of the boxes I ordered here in Toronto, Canada : (
Hi Kristina,
Back pain stinks. Its so hard to need to do something simple like get dressed & not be able to. Not sure how severe your injury is but what worked for me are muscle relaxants and Lidoderm patches (bascially numb the pain). That along with some stretching & the chiropractor I am good as new.
Anyhoo...my first order will include the Big Shot of course...my list is long however!
Olga
I hope your back feels better soon... have you tried icing it? No, not frosting... ice. Try using a bag of frozen peas (they conform nicely to your body) I used to have a lot of back pain and ice helped immensely.
As far as my order for Stampin' Up... wow... I have so many things on my wishlist... if I ordered them all I'd probably win a cruise! But for sure I'll be getting myself a couple of the Never Been Seen 15% off stamp sets (Upsy Daisy and Pocket Silhouetttes and maybe Under the Stars) and some of the new designer paper and new ribbon colors and definitely the new punches and....... See what I mean?
Yep, been there. Go to a chiropractor! Mine has a massage therapist in the office as well and it helps a lot. Hope you feel better soon!
As for the catalog... the new punches and those silhouette stamps are a must! (esp. since 2 are on sale) : )
I totally feel your pain! I suffer frequently from a stupid back that can't do something as simple as pick up a soccer sock or reach for a cupboard. My kids make fun of how "wimpy" it is!! I spend a lot of time at the chiropractor, icing it, and using painkillers when necessary. I am so sorry you have to go through this!! Good luck on a speedy recovery.
The "new catty list" is too long to post! I am absolutely in love with the DSP! My daughters, who won't stamp with me, are asking me to order some--especially the argyles. They're thinking of all kinds of stuff I can make for them! :) I've got to try to be good but...
Oh, Kristina, I know what you're going through. I strained a muscle in my back two weeks ago (from too much stamping--yes, really). I haven't been able to stamp since. :( Hope you are doing better soon!
I can't wait to get my hands on that new scallop punch! Love the new dp and ribbons, too!
hi kris,
my lil bro had a similar problem as well and went for all the xrays and blood tests that u cannot possible imagine. just so happened i had a stiff neck from a bad sleeping posture and my bff recommended me a chinese physician. he did a few rubs and pressed some joints here and there and voila! i was literally fixed !! needless to say my brother went to him as well and he got well faster than u can say " remember me??!!"
seriously, go check a chinese physician/acupuncturist out. it is SO NOT scary at all and it really works !
get well soon!

hey Kristina!
Hope you're feeling better VERY soon. I feel your pain. I tore a rib muscle a few weeks back (you know you're outta shape when you tear a muscle when you're sitting on the couch!). HELLO who knew breathing could cause so much pain!
I know it sounds crazy, but ice, heat, stretch and some very painful yoga moves helped me out.
Good luck and hope you're back to your chipper self soon.
hugs
Suzanne
Hi there! I am so sorry about your back! As a lifelong sufferer of back pain, (since 17, I am now 37) I know a few things about that aching back. I throw mine out from time to time and end up at the chiropractor. First can I say to drink lots of water, second ice the area that is giving you so much trouble, inflammation is most likely the culprit of your pain, third, take some Motrin or Ibuprofen, about 800mg (that four of the otc kind) every 8 hrs, lay on the floor with your legs in a chair and try to relax your back, lay on an icepack in a washcloth, don't put the ice directly to your skin. Seek chiropractic care also, but make sure your chiropractor takes an xray before he adjusts you, if he says its not needed, leave. I sure hope you feel better soon. Back pain is no walk in the park!
I hope your back feels better! I have a kidney stone right now and that hurts too- so if you need to whine, i'll listen!
That's not stopping me from ordering at 11 pacific standard time - and expediting! Come to me, Upsy Daisy, Pocket Silhouettes, Grand Soiree' and Vanilla HPH!! (I'd list all the ribbons, rubons, DSP too, but you shouldn't be sitting that long!)
Take care!
denise;)
I also have chronic back problems so I can completly understand your pain. I would continue with the ice and the pain killers. Best of luck.
I've never been to a Stampn Up Party and have never seen a catalog. Would love to look through it though, I would LOVE the scallop edge circle punch.
Hope you're feeling better.
