MACM - Minimal Color

This week's Make a Card Monday came about because I had two packs of American Crafts rubons that I had rarely used. Both had the same designs but one was in brown and the other in white... Hmm... What to make?
I thought to make a card that uses only those two colors. But I substituted Very Vanilla for the white just so that it would soften the contrast just a bit. Even though the rubons were white, it doesn't really bother me too much.
It looks like a wedding card, huh? That wasn't what I was aiming for, but it certainly looks like one now. No complaints here, though. A card is a card. :)
Anyway, the card came together SUPER quickly! I wouldn't mind making a few more of these. :)

I may be wrong but is it Celine Dion? Beautiful card by the way! I love the quick and elegant cards! Thanks for being so wonderful. Have a great trip!
Hugs,
Shawntel
Josh Groban, but I'm not sure if he was the "original" artist!
Love the card--thanks!
Have a great 4th!
This is gorgeous! Very elegant!!!
I am far away enough to make it mid-afternoon (Austria) but I have to say that this card is a stunner, morning or afternoon! Very nice!
Pretty, pretty card!
I suppose if I had been married a little older, I would have looked at this song for the "first dance"(my wedding song was Extreme: More than Words, does that say 1993 or what!) I think the song is David Foster though.
Great, now I have 'St. Elmo's Fire' Theme in my head. LOL
Have a wonderful Holiday.
Totally Celine Dion, although Josh Grobin does a beautiful job as well! Love the card very simple!
Beautiful, elegant simplicity! And, the artist is Celine Diion :).
Love your card. So simple and clean and you are right it could be a wedding card, but could be almost anything. It is really beautiful! I love the look of your numbers on your comments -- I can tell you have a graphic designers eye. Cool! Same with the banner -- very clean and graphic! Works for me.
Kristina, this card is so classy but totally cute and trendy at the same time! I love it! Great job!
Was it Celine Dion?
Great card, Kristina. And it's 6 PM here.
Eveline.
Hi there! Great card, very simple yet elegant... I also think it's Céline Dion, I'm from her neck of the woods (Province of Québec) but not her biggest fan, so I'm not entirely certain she's the original artist.
Beautiful card. What a great idea, that's simple, yet very elegant. Thank you for the inspiration!!
A stunningly beautiful and elegant card.
Another wonderful card - amazing. You are so inspiring.
Love the Blog's new look and it is faster.
Thanks
Absolutely beautiful! I love this one!

Amazing!!! Simple and elegant! The best design! Kisses...
Absolutely gorgeous card -- what great inspiration for an engagement/wedding card!
Celine Dion? I love the instrumental version too. Beautiful card!!! Love it!!!
Original music is, of course, by Celine Dion - great Canadian girl!!! Enjoy your holiday. We will miss your MACM but will be eagerly awaiting your creation in 2 weeks. We too are traveling to Utah. We will be in Park City. Any suggestions of things to do for a family?? Does Stampin' Up have tours or anything like that?? Enjoy!!
Beautiful card, thanks! 2 weeks! Oh no!!
I know Celine Dion sings this song, do not know who was first though!!
Have a fun trip!
I know that as a Celin Dion song...seeing her this November in SLC! Yahoo!
Love the card, it's simple yet elegant.
I love the card, very simple, yet elegant! And, I believe the music sounds like a celine dion one?
thanks for the great macm's..you're part of my monday morning routine!
Awww! Cho, pweety! Such a nice soft touch to it! You know that the music went so well with the ribbon while you where making the bow. The music and the bow making went so well, it seem you were taking it very slow and being very delicate with it. I just thought it went so well with the music. I like the card, it has such a fine delicacy to it!
I really like this card...I like that there are only two colors and the rubons give it a crisp clean look!
It's a Céline Dion song from the album "All the way ... a decade of song". "To love you more" written by David Foster and Junior Miles. Very nice card by the way!
Had to check the comments to find out who! I knew the tune, but not the artist. I love, love, love this card! I have a wedding to attend in just two weeks. I will use yours as inspiration for the card I make for them! As always, thanks!
Its Celine Dion! Great card!
Thanks for the inspiration, I will definitely need to lift the idea as I have a zillion AC rubons! Have a great vacation!
I know Celine did this song, but didn't Sarah Brightman also do a version?
No idea who did the song but I am loving those rub-ons. Great card!
i love this card, so simple and classic
what AC line are those rub ons from? i've never seen them and now, of course, i must have them! LOL
So simple and very elegant! Beautiful card. I believe the original artist to record this piece was Celine Dion. Your choice of music is perfect for each of your projects - clearly you are a multi talented artist. Thank you!
I say Celine Dion too.
Beautiful card, as usual !
Was it Barbra Streisand?
Lori
Very Nice card! I gravitate more toward these simple styles, so this is right up my ally. And the singer? Celine Dion, I think!
Always appreciate the job you do for MACM. As this was a 'quicker' card and you didn't need to speed up the video it was funny to watch you work at human speed like the rest of us. Thanks for your contribution to the craft.
Very pretty! :)
I'm bummed about the 2 week hiatus! You'll have to make it up to us somehow. LOL
Anyway, you now have Celine Dion stuck up in my head. "Let me be the one to love you mooooore!"
Have a great 4th! Take some pictures for us!
I use rub ons mostly with my scrapbooking. I love this idea! Thanks for making Mondays my favorite day! Beautiful! Have a good 4th of July!
The original song was by Celine Dionne, the Titantic sound track, I think. I love your cards! I found your blog originally about a year ago from Splitcoast and have been visiting a couple of times a week ever since! Have a great 4th of July weekend!
Celine Dion. Beautiful card as always.
Love your card! I did something very similar a few weeks back, trying to use up my embarrassingly large stash of SAB rub-ons.
I love Lucia Micharelli (sp?) and of course, Josh Groban. That is very pretty music no matter who did it first. ;-)
Simple but elegant card. The singer is Celine Dion of the song you played. Thank you for such wonderful videos and have a happy 4th of July!

This card looks absolutely lovely, but I can't figure out how you got your AC rub ons to look so good. I bought some a while back (the same set in white I think) and don't like them much. They don't rub on well AT ALL!
Thanks for yet another lovely card. Have a fun and safe fourth!
I have that same set of rub ons. now I am so excited to actyally use them!!
I was going to guess Celine Dion but it looks like everyone else did too!
Love the card and the new look of your blog.
Shoot, I practically love everything you do!
Wow! This card is beautiful: simple and very elegant!
...Was it Josh Groban?
kiss from Italy
Hi Kristina,
I love your work very much!!!!
I give you a award.
Take a look at my blog.
Greetings Tamara
Beautiful card...simple and very elegant! Thanks for all the wonderful ideas that you have shown through the weeks!
I think Aaron Copeland wrote the song and it is performed by five girls band.
I love the tutorials, please keep em coming.
I love Mondays since I found your blog! This weeks card didn't dissapoint me at all. Different from your other cards ... and I love it. Inspires me to try something new. Thanks for sharing your talent.
Love the card- so simple and beautiful! Gorgeous music too! Made me want to watch my wedding video! Say that too loud and it could clear a room! LOL! Somehow I don't think anyone can appreciate a wedding video but the bride herself!
Hey there you blog goddess! You've been tagged! If you have time, check out my blog for the details.
I believe the artist was Celine Dion!
I absolutely love all your cards! Great job.
Céline Dion "Let's Talk About Love" album.
What a beautiful version of the card, as well as a beautiful version of the song.
