At-Home French manicure

NOTE: This has nothing to do with papercrafting. I'll post my card and picks for the latest color challenge tomorrow evening. :)

Some of the blog buddies asked about my nails, so I thought I'd show how I give myself a French manicure. By no means am I a professional. This is just how I do it. :)

Products used:
Orly Rubberized Bonder (base coat)
Essie Nail Polish - Marshmallow
Essie Nail Polish - Mademoiselle
Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat

Also mentioned:

It's now official! Your are definitely multi-talented! I have short nails also and usually I go with an almost white pink all over to keep it natural, but I'm going to give this french manicure thing a try, it looks great! Keep up the good work!

Love this video. I never get this done right but I like how you move your hand instead of just the brush. Thanks!

That is the same way I do my french manicure(when I have time to do it...) I had to giggle when you said Nessie ail polish--I do that all the time.

Kristina says: Oh my word! I didn't even realized I said that! Hilarious!

Have you ever used OPI nail polish?? I find that's my favorite. If you have used it do you like the one you use better??

Thanks for all the great tips. I have short nails too (and it is so easy to paint skin). I love your advise about letting the shower wash away any mess left behind in the morning : )

Staci M.:

That's EXACTLY how I do a French manicure, when I get around to doing one! Good to know, but I don't use your products. I'll have to try them. Thanks for posting!

I like your how to video and have a tip to make it easier for your right hand. I found it easier to always start by painting the pinky on the right hand and then the rest on the right, then paint the pinky on your left hand and paint the rest on your left. And always loosen the tops of the polish bottles which helps not to mess up wet nails. Thanks for sharing with us.

Thanks for the great tutorial Kristina!! Appreciate letting us know what types of polish you use too - that to me is the hardest - knowing which one to purchase - thanks for making that step easier!

Thanks for the video!! I am inspired! I went to my local Ulta store and found all but the top coat but bought a similar one. Trying it tonight so I hope I can do it. I have one big question...how do you store your nail polish?

If you are reading this and you haven't gone out and purchased the items Kristina recommended in her manicure tutorial...whaddaya waiting for? Oh My Goodness! I run the Accounting Dept. at a Sam's Club and I put those products to the test and I am stunned that my manicure not only lasted longer than two days....but actually looked great for well over a week! I've always hated to paint my nails because my polish worn off at the tips by the end of the next day. Not now! You are amazing! Now, I just hope they resist all the inkin' I'm going to be doing getting ready for my Convention swaps Ü Thank you, thank you, Kristina!

I usually use Essie's Sugar Daddy but I just picked up a bottle of Mademoiselle and it's fabo! I have to admit it looked super pink in the bottle and standing in the store I was thinking "no...this can't be right." But I got it and it is gorgeous. Thanks!

Can someone tell me where to purchase these products? Someone mentioned in their comment about Sam's Club. Do they sell it?
