MACM - You're Simply the Best
I wanted to try using the same circle punches technique to create a scallop border on a circle. I've seen these a little bit and wanted to create a card using it.
This card is also my card for last week's Color Inspiration Challenge #9. Some of you mentioned that this was one of the harder challenges and I had to agree.
Such strong colors! And five of them, as well! It was definitely a bit more difficult to work with these colors compared to some of the combinations of the past few weeks. :)
Anyhow, I hope you all enjoy this one!

Woke up early, this holiday Monday ... snuck downstairs to a quiet house to surf with my coffee in peace. Thanks for this card, great ideas for the scallops and chipboards.
Hope you had fun in NY!
Love this one! Cutting those letters out scares me a bit! I'm not so good with the hobby blade but I'll give it a try! Thanks for another great card!
Super Cute Card.. I love how you used the colors. What is the name of the Sanding kit you are using again?
YOU ARE THE BEST!!!
Thanks for this MACM! Enjoy :O) !

This card is gorgeous! I love the way you used the colors in the card - it's so well balanced. TFS!
Love these bright colors. Also, you have the best handwriting! Super cute card and fun music as always.
Hey..did you like Poisonwood Bible?
Very nice. I think this is one of my favorites so far.
As usual another fantastic card ~ Love it!!
As soon as I heard the opening bars of the music, I knew I would love the card today......*S*
I haven't heard that song for AGES, and it always makes me dance in my chair when I do.
So much FUN! Of course, you make the challenge look so easy! Can't wait till Wednesday! Will you be back in time?
PS-Loved the music!
That scallop circle rocks!
Love this layout...and yes, that was one of my favorite songs in the 80's!
Fabulous design, Kristina! You've got WAY more patience than I do to cut out those letters! LOL Great job!
I was wondering what you do with all of your 'leftover' sticker letters. Or any letters for that matter. Is it really worth it to buy a whole alphabet and have a bunch of letters you can't really use? Just curious.
After a rough start this am (kids late to school, blah, blah, blah....) there is nothing like a great card and a flashback to college to get your monday morning back on track. YOU are simply the best!!!!!! off to itunes and then the stamp room....
LOVE your MACM's! Great job w/this color combination. Hope your trip to NY was safe and fun...
this card is AWESOME! I just ordered the coluzzle and i'm so excited to CASE this card from you, you are a genius! Thanx for sharing it w/us!

Another awesome card, Kristina! I love the way you make the scallop. One question, do you ever use nestabilities instead of the coluzzle? Have a safe trip home!!
What size circle punch did you use and how large were the circles cut from the couzzle? (Maybe you could do a tutorial on sizing elements like that. I know it's probably REAL SIMPLE, but for the visuals out there-like me- it would help.) I love the colors! Again...thankyou for the imspiration.
Thanks for sharing these great techniques with us. I wish I could see some of it in normal speed. Is there a way for me to slow it down to watch it at normal speed? I would love to be you in New York, never been and I live in Maine. :)
I LOVE this one!! So cute. Have fun in NYC!
Great card! Thanks for sharing with us.
Great card! I really love the circle punch/scallop idea!!!
Just found your blog and I am so glad I did! Just wonderful! I love the trick of creating the scalloped edge with little circles.... Can you tell me what that stamp is that created the notebook paper lined look? Thanks!
What a great card! And, woah, Nellie! That song was a serious blast from the past! he he he
You are so creative. I love this card. Where do you find the cute journaling stamp? Love how you use the coluzzle cutter. I never think of pulling that out to make cards! You are the best! :)
Not only was that a great card...but you used the best song EVER!
OMG! Blast from the past wtih Dexey's Midnight Runners! May need to watch it twice since I was singing and dancing the first time. Another of your cards convinced me to get the Coluzzle and now I have another reasong to try it! Love the card!
Love the tunes!!!! The card is beyond cute, too!!!
The first thing I thought of was, "Oh no, I need another expensive punch!" I was thrilled to see
the trick you used. Love the musical accompaniment. Hope I spelled
that right!
Love the card! Just found your site and am excited to try this design and keep an eye out for your site in the future.
Hi Kristina, thanks for another great card. I too would love to know the name or a link to where you can get the sanding kit/sticks you used. I've seen them used before and searched but never found them. Thanks!
Another amazing card!
Love this one
SUPER cute card!! Cant wait to hear how your trip to NYC went. Going next month. Feel free to share any "must see"s for fellow paper junkies! ;)
I just love your cards. Thank you!!
Hi Kristina,
I always thoroughly enjoy your MACM, but this week I happened to have my 6-month baby on my lap while watching and he LOVED it, he was absolutely facsinated the whole way through. I dont make a habit of letting him watch TV or similar, but I have to say, it was the most successful entertainment of the day for him =)
Thanks for another wonderful card and a few minutes of equally wonderful peace and quiet while I steer my little boy toward some future as as artist ;-)
Cheers
Ruth
Beautiful card. I had always wondered how everyone got the scalloped edges behind a circle. I always thought it was a doily type piece of paper. Now I know it's alot more work that just one sheet of paper.
Thanks again for sharing your work with us.
waouh elle est superbe !! I love it !! MERCI !
omg. that is the cutest card! you are so talented!
Ah - thanks so much! Loved the card, loved the song...my day has started perfectly!
Thanks!
Andra
MACM ---- LOVE IT !!!
What a cute...no, awesome card. I can't believe you cut out EACH letter.... You ARE crazy...but I love your talent !
Kristina, thank you so much for sharing your talent, energy and enthusiasm - and you didn't have to say a word, how about that, and made so many people happy!
You had me humming that tune for ages after watching the clip!
When does the next challenge get posted? Not that I am rushing you lol!
The card just rocks! I love how you make it look so easy, and come up with a great design! I hope you don't mind if I lift it-gotta make teacher gifts and I dig the design and the color combo! Thanks so much for sharing this...I have to go on youtube and watch the rest you have on there!
Love the design of this one!
HATE the song but LOVED LOVED LOVED the card!! What were those sanding tools you used on the chipboard? I am intrigued. We're doing covered chipboard tomorrow night at stamp club and would love to be able to pick them up before then!
Thanks again for a great video tutorial!
Hope your birthday AND your trip were great.
(Becki, those tools are by Basic Grey)
Great card! Its funny cause I had a sketch in my mind for the next color inspiration challenge and it had some of the techniques that you just did. LOL!
adorable! i love this!! :)
Kristina, I totally love this card!! Very cute! I've got to CASE this one =).
i thoroughly enjoy your blog, MACM's and wonderful designs. (now that i've buttered you up....) I have looked online for the stamp you used - the Art Warehouse background journaling stamp - i can't find it. Any chance you remember your source? I'd greatly appreciate it. It's just what i've been looking for. Thanks so much Kristina - for taking all the time you do to make videos and share all your wonderful creations (that's not butterin up - thats just the truth :-))
cute ;)
