Brothers Album

I hope all you scrapbookers out there had a great National Scrapbooking Day. Me, I hung out at home and did more organizing. :)
But I also covered this album! Over the next few days, I'm going to be sharing this album with you. Well, just the cover and a few pages from it, actually. My cousin Mandy of Secret Scrapper Products sent it to me to decorate.
Isn't that paper delicious!? It's from the Fancy Pants About a Boy line. The little graphic designer in me loves paper like that. And the fact that it's so boy-ish? It's perfect for an album about my nephews (who are adorable, btw).
Anyway, this album is as sturdy as can be. Man, it's made out of some strong materials, which would be good for my nephews and their little hands. Mandy gave me some ideas on how to paint it or decorate it, but I liked the raw look of the MDF (I think that's what it is?) so I didn't paint the letters. I also wanted the edges to look more finished, so I wrapped the corners carefully.

lovely. I am always after boy ideas especially now that I have a very busy 19 mo boy. I might do something similar for him with the family's photos in there - bit like a mini picture book. Thanks for the ideas. Love the lettering as well. Can't wait to see the video so I can see how you did those neat corners ;)
Thanks for sharing this! I have this paper sitting looking at me and I have been waiting for something wonderful to make with it. Great idea! Beautiful project. Thanks for all the inspiration. Looking forward to the video! Good luck organizing!
That album cover is FANTASTIC! I'm looking forward to getting fired up over doing some scrapping à la Kristina. I've been in a rut of similar pages & anxious to trying something new. Be well, Amy.
Wow, that is some cool graphics!! Love the brown cover and the unfinished letters...so boy like!
And I gotta tell you a quick, cute story you'd appreciate...my dd, who is 5, is going to have a ballet show soon. The girls all got their costumes and tried them on during class. It came with a waist sash that you just tied in the back All of the bows were tied sloppy in the back by their moms...you know how hard it is for some of us to tie bows nicely. Well one little girl had a perfect bow and a mom said, looking around the room, "Whoever did that bow needs to do all of them for the show". We looked around and it was her DAD that did it. He looked a wee bit uncomfortable and out of place. Crack me up!
