Rewind: Cupcake Pops!

041308-bakerella.jpg

So, for a while now, the web has been obsessed with these Cupcake Pops invented by Bakerella. Well, not too long ago, Annie made these little darlings for Cupcake Tuesday at work (yes, we have Cupcake Tuesday). Every Tuesday someone brings cupcakes (or muffins!) to share. Seriously, it's the best day of the week.

Here's Paula holding one of Annie's cupcake pops:

And then, guess what? Bakerella was on The Martha Stewart Show last week for Martha's Cupcake Week... Hello! WHY oh why did I have to be on a cruise when all this was happening!!

BUT! I love the internet. You know why? Because you can watch the archives! Click here for the recipe and video of Bakerella and Martha making the cupcake pops, and here for the archives of the entire Cupcake Week (March 31 - April 4). Wahoo! I'm currently catching up on all the cupcake segments. :)

Anyhow, hope ya'll are enjoying your Sunday. Here in Utah, it's a beautiful sunny day. :)

I saw Martha's segment showcasing these! They are SOOO cute. If it were not for the fact that we are following a no sugar, no wheat, no dairy diet then I would be ALL over those. Perhaps we can treat ourselves for my daughter's 5th b-day in Sept!

Hi Kristina -- I went to Trophy Cupcakes in Seattle this week. It was the place featured on Martha's Friday show. Fantastic cupcakes!! I wrote about it in my blog if you want to check it out.

Well if I can't actually eat the cupcakes I can at least watch them right? They are so cute!

Oh my gosh, how cute are those! I just finished watching the segment on the Martha site and I can't believe how adorable those mini cupcakes are. Thanks for showing us! Now I've got to find something chocolate in the house! :)

Those look so cute! Did you all think they tasted good? I think my girls and I might give those a try ...also want to try the chocolate-graham-marshmallow ones that were mentioned on the show.

Kristina says: Absolutely, they are yummy! Though I do have to warn you that Annie's sister Emily made them with the cream cheese frosting and thought they were too sweet. So the cupcake pops that Annie brought in were made with just cream cheese. Those were the ones I tried and they were delicious!

I would've missed the Martha shows too, but I have a TiVo season pass for Martha. I'm definitely going to try those out. I'm having a bunch of my girlfriends over in 2 weeks to introduce them again to stamping (I did this 2 years ago). I might just make cupcake pops instead of my usual raspberry cheesecake.

I added the Bakerella link to my blog last week.

Thank goodness for DVR! I got all the cupcake segments one could handle last week, they all looked so delicious and the pops were definitely one of my favorites.

Thanks for showing these cupcakes! I get so excited about new stamping projects almost daily, but it's been a while since I've been this excited about baking. These are ADORABLE!

OMG, these are the cutest. I am baking things to be sold at a fundraising bake sale. Can you hear the $$$$$$$ ringing up if I made these???

ON the chocolate cake, will a regular box chocolate cake work? Or does it have to be a moister cake? I don't make cakes very often.

Thanks for sharing this link, I've been sending it out to everyone. My husband wants me to make the nutter butter balls. Ok, that title sounds weird, right?
