Color Inspiration #5 Round-up

041708-thanksyou1.jpg

041708-thanksyou2.jpg Hi all! Here we are again at the round-up! :)

Anyway, before we get to your submissions, here's the card I made. I wanted to create a super easy and simple card and this is what I came up with. :) Easily duplicated and I just love it!

Just a couple things to note. The Soft Sky flower was created by punching out a die-cut flower from Stampin' Up!'s Die-Cut Blooms and then tracing the cut-out onto the Soft Sky card stock. Then I stamped it using the Dotted background stamp. You can't really see the dots too well, but believe me, they're there. :)

Also, currently I'm a bit obsessed with these alpha stamps from Educational Insights. They're actually for elementary school kids! If you want to buy them as well, here's a link.

So, on to the submissions. I was so impressed with all the cards you guys made! So many beautiful cards that I had a tough time narrowing it down to my favorites. My first initial cut had 30 cards in it! AHH! So I had to whittle it down to ten.

Of course, the first ten are included as well. However, if one of the first ten was included in the top ten or if the link provided didn't work, I didn't include it.

Here ya go:

Krystal:

How exciting to see a thumbnail of my Nursery card in your Top 10 picks! But I was kind of sad when I clicked on it and was brought to some other card and someone's blog. Here's a link to my card: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/886111?cat=500&ppuser=97730
Thanks for the great color inspirations! I love your choices and style. Can't wait 'til next week!

Kristina says: Sorry about that! It's been fixed.

Jenn M.:

Kristina, thanks again for such a beautiful color inspiration. I love your "simple" card. I like the font too. I have to check out the link you set up later. Using the Die-Cut Blooms as a template is such a clever idea. The flowers are so nice, but sometimes the color is just not what I want... with your tip I now have any color I need! Mahalo again! Looking forward to Monday once again!!! jenn

Thanks for including my card in your round-up, Kristina! The thumbnail, however, doesn't link to my blog. My card can be found here: http://www.verastamps.com/2008/04/16/smile/

I really like your "Thanks" card. I have viewed a few of the inspiration challenge cards, and they are really good. I have been inspired by them myself.

I am trying to start my own simple blog to see what people think of my cards. Please have a look and let me know what you think.

Wonderful card ... may I please have your handwriting? My 8 year old is practicing cursive writing at school. I feel like sending her to the website ;) Thanks as always for all the effort you put it.

Hi Kristina!
Thanks so MUCH for the Bare Minerals info! I was going to sign up for the club and have been putting it off! Whew! Sorry about you getting ripped off though.

I have a hard time trying to figure out what color I am. That's my kanundrum (probably misspelled but I'm in a hurry).

Never having worn makeup much and what I have seen i don't want to emulate. Flashback to the 80s w/my sister having the orange line along her chin line... YIKES!

Anywho, I LOVE your eyeshadow and makeup in general. SO I will be buying the cover up and mineral veil when I get back from Regionals in Milwaukee!

Thanks again I appreciate it!

Mary:

Hi Kristina,
I love the submissions, and your card as well. The color inspirations you've posted are making me look at things a bit differently these days... I see color inspiration all around me now. ... I am a kindergarten teacher and my students use those alpha stamps in school. They LOVE to stamp! I'm starting them out early... they are the next generation of stampers and scrappers. Have a great weekend and keep up the great work with your stellar website!
