MACM - Hey

031708-macm1.jpg

031708-macm2.jpg Hi all!

This weeks MACM sort turned out a bit masculine, eh? You can always use some masculine cards because they're the hardest to make. :) It's inevitable that most of the paper crafting industry would be slightly feminine because 99% of paper crafters are women!

Anyway, this card is just a simple one. Easy and quick to make.

On a completely unrelated note, I just finished painting my fingernails in Essie's Wicked. LOVE this color! Sadly, it's not a very spring-like color, so I'm afraid I'll have to switch it up soon. Maybe Foot Loose?

If ya'll are new to Essie and are wondering where to buy it online, the cheapest I've found it is at Head 2 Toe Beauty.

Oh! And I'm planning for another live chat. This time it will be earlier in the day to accommodate those in Europe. Let's plan on Saturday, March 22, at 12:00 noon MDT (USA - Utah - Salt Lake City). Be sure to convert the time if you're elsewhere in the world.

I hope I can catch even more of you on Saturday! :)

Thanks for letting us see your craft area and for showing us a more "guy card" Always need ideas for that.

Also for opening the packages on camera, I like to see how the embellishments are sold ... easier for me to find in the store after I watch your MACM LOL!

Erin go bragh!

Hey Kristina,

as always, another fantastic card :) Love it. Quick question for you though. What is the standard size that you use for a card like this one? I never know which sizes to use.

Thanks,
Trisha :)

P.s: Happy St. Patrick's Day to you :)

this is so great, I love starting off every Monday with some inspiration from MACM! You are VERY talented! You may have already answered this at one point, but I was wondering how you mount your camera so that it angles perfectly down onto your workspace?

thanks again for sharing!!

I don't know how you do it Kristina! Ok, thanks to the video, I actually do know how you do it, but whenever I try to do a simple card it ends up looking ridiculous. Thanks for the inspiration!

Fabulous card! I agree, it does look masculine... the color combo, perhaps? It's perfect. Always great to have those "boy" cards on hand. ;)

NSR, Essie is my very favorite enamel line. Weird thing, I just took Wicked off and put on Berry Hard... in an effort to lighten up a little for spring, I guess. LOL

Love your card today, well I love them every week. I saw on your sidebar that you love frozen hot chocolate mix you can get from serindipity. I have never been there personally, but here is a yummy recipe to make some at home.

Frozen Hot Chocolate

6 half ounce pieces of a variety of your favorite chocolates
2 teaspoons of store-bought hot chocolate mix
1 1/2 tablespoons of sugar
1 1/2 cups of milk
3 cups of ice
Whipped cream
Chocolate Shavings

Chop the chocolate into small pieces. Place in top of a double boiler over simmering water. Stir occasionally until melted. Add the hot chocolate mix and sugar. Stir until completely melted. Remove from heat and slowly add 1/2 cup of milk until smooth. Cool to room temperature.

In a blender, place the remaining cup of milk, the room-temperature chocolate mixture and the ice. Blend on high speed until smooth and the consistency of a frozen daquiri. Pour into a giant goblet and top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings.

Mary Doak:

Hey Kristina,
Thanks for the video. I could watch you make cards all day everyday! It's so much fun. And great tunes too.
The first livechat, well my husband was in the background watching and listening. The next day he said he was making funny faces into the camera and being silly. He tries to be a comedian all the time. Such a jokester. Did you see him? He was distracting me from the chat. It was his b-day and I made him a card and would love to have you see it but don't know how to do that. It is a great masculine card. I could send it to you in an email.
Happy St Pat's Day from Springy Maine!

Another great card Kristina! My 5 year old watched her MACM just now and we watched a few others, including the v-day. Her commentaries were so cute, "Oh, she's gonna stamp...oh, that's so pretty". She doesn't want to stop watching them!

I loved this project! I look forward to Mondays now just because of MACM! You've gotten me addicted to Thickers. I need more ideas for words that don't require "e", "s" or "R" because I keep using them up :D

I did tag you -- you're one of the blogs I enjoy reading the most! http://barefootstamper.typepad.com/barefoot_stamper/2008/03/in-the-words-of.html
