MACM - Friend

033108-macm1.jpg

033108-macm2.jpg Hi all! I'm updating from my not-as-warm-as-I-was-hoping cruise ship!

Anyway, here's this week's Make a Card Monday. I've been really wanted to use these Basic Grey die-cuts and I'm just now getting around to using them. Plus! The Love Elsie ribbon was too luscious to pass up!

This card is pretty straight forward and it uses a design that I find myself using quite a bit. It's my no-fail card template. :) If you've been around here at the blog for a while, I'm sure you'll recognize the elements. However, this time I mixed it up by using two ribbons. :)

So from sunny Bermuda, here's another Make a Card Monday!

Yet another cute card for MACM. Sorry to hear that the weather on your cruise isn't as warm as you wanted... still, you get to enjoy sunshine so, that's a MAJOR PLUS! Enjoy your trip and look forward to hear all about it on your blog.

HI Kristina!!! So glad you were able to do another MACM! So happy! This card is DARLING - love those Basic Gray die cuts and paper and I totally use this layout all the time too. But then, you're probably not surprised by that! Heehee!

It's always cold on cruise ships! Hopefully you'll soon be out on the sunny beach though, and it won't matter. I learned on our first cruise to always pack a sweater....or 3! Haha!

Have fun, Chickie!!

Super cute card, as usual! I bought some kraft cardstock recently, but I haven't been able to get it to work with any combos so far. I might have to use the colors you used and see if I can have success! :)

Cute MACM as always!

If your cruise isn't as warm as you wished, just be glad you aren't here driving around in the SNOW and ICE!!! I can't believe it is April and we had a snow storm yesterday/today, ridiculous!!

Sorry you aren't having as warm of weather as you had hoped for. I was on the SU cruise to the Mexican Riveria. I didn't think it was very warm and fell asleep in the sun...and got burnt! So don't forget to put on sunscreen.

Awesome card. I hope you are having a great time on the cruise. A little request...do you have a list of songs you put on your video's? You have some great music. I have never heard today's song. What is it? If you made a list we could all make cards by it. LOL

What a fun surprise this morning to see a new MACM! Hope you are enjoying your cruise and hope that it has warmed up a bit!
Anywho-- the card -- so cute. Love the punchouts! Also -- thank you again for making me a fan of the stamp a ma jig -- in my opinion the most under-rated tool around. It is awesome!

Heather C:

What a happy surprise! Did not expect the card today since you are cruisin' -- and a great card at that... Love the punch outs and the stamp a ma jig -- is that the most useful little tool or what???

Isn't the Noordam great! We were on it last summer to Alaska. This summer we're going on it to the western Meditteranean. Have a great time. Love the card!

Rhonda -

Hopefully Kristina won't mind if I answer your question about the music. At the end of each video, K lists all the materials she used, plus the song used in the video. Today's song was "Walking on Air" by Kerli.

Love this card!

Does anyone (or are you checking in, Kristina?) know what line of Basic Grey was used? I just spend quite a bit of time on the Basic Grey website and couldn't pinpoint it. Are the paper and diecuts from the same line? Thanks for any help you can give me.

I am the same way about taking those nubs off, but i use a small sander or BG file.
Love the color of the PP, those diecuts are really pretty. You could make a ton of cards with them! have a nice trip!

Love it, love it, love it! So simple yet so stylish as usual. Dont expect anything else from you Kristina :) I always wait in anticipation to tuesday mornings (for us Australians) as I can sit at the brekkie table and watch the latest MACM. Even my 18 mo son has to sit in his highchair and put up with not having his mummys attention for 5 minutes? lol

Terri - The paper is the Infuse set by Basic Grey.
Kristina = Your face looks so skinny! The WW thing is obviously workin' for ya! Thanks for thinking of us and posting. Once again, you've inspired me to get off my butt and create!

Okay, love the card - the two ribbons are cute!! Also, sorry to hear about the curb! What is difference about your video...your hair is parted on the other side...maybe?? or is it the lighting on your face??? did you get a new lamp or something?? Anyway, I was so glad to see that there was a MACM even though you are holidaying.. I hope it warms up for you!!

My daughter and I are a couple days late on this one, but here is the our card (a CASE of yours). I do all the cutting and she assembles. She is almost 5 years old. We both look forward to Mondays.

Hi
What a great card!
I really would like to know in which adhesives you use (both the runner and the one you use to tape the ribbons) at your cards and in that specific one.
I didn't find one that work well for me and I would happy for a recommendation.
Thanks, lili.
