Bonus Video: Paper Star
We had an impromptu origami lesson this afternoon. Thanks to Christy for her awesome demonstration skills, and to Paula for teaching Christy how to make these super cute origami stars in the middle of a stamp meeting yesterday!
(Such is a day at the Stampin' Up! corporate office. Yes, I love where I work. :)
I've seen these stars in glass bowls and jars. Just tons and tons of these little stars. A glass vase filled with the stars in different patterned papers would make a great center piece on a table! Too cute!

Oh my gosh that is just the coolest thing!!! I am making stars for everyone now, whether they want one or not!!!!
Thank you for sharing, that is just too cute!!!
Hmmmmmm......the gears in my brain are creating steam right now thinking of all of the cool ways I could use those! Thanks!
When I saw the tutorial, I had a deja vu. I used to do those stars in secondary school... many many years ago (I'm 33) What I like is that we have a peek to the place where the magic is done :)
Thanks for the video.
Greetings, Ilse
Oh what I would give to work where you work!!!
Love the stars, and your blog...can't get enough!
This is so cool! My daughter and I watched the video together and had fun making a few stars together. She thought it was so cool that she got to watch your video! TFS!
So clever! Thanks for sharing!
My kids saw these stars made by the older "6'ers" at their school & wanted to learn. Thanks! I have a feeling that my house will not have a window sill with out a handful now. LOL.
Thanks also for organizing all the round ups to. The work you put in for us, my dear! Muchly appreciated.
Can I just come to work with you every day? I'll be very quiet, I promise! LOL!
That is soooooooo cool! What a treat! Little things like that get me so excited. (That's a good thing, right?) :)

Oh my gosh! Those stars are AWESOME! And appear to be so easy to make. I can't wait to try them and teach them to my card club!
And I agree with the others - thanks for the peak into your FABULOUS job. I wonder if my husband would agree to pack up and move all of us (five kids plus a dog) to Utah! Probably not. :-)
You are my idol.

Sharon

do you have written directions for making these stars or a link? I'd love to make them but I can't understand the video or narrative due to a hearing impairment. Thanks!
oooooooooooo fun fun fun!!! I just love these cute little stars. Next card get-together I am going to make them to just strow (is that a word?) down the center of the table. Thanks for sharing!
The star was not at all what I imagined when I read your post, but it seems so much simpler than what I was thinking...and so cute!!
Thanks for showing that! My daughter has been making those stars for years...in fact, my blog header is a picture of some she made a few years ago! They are wonderful!!
Wow! I didn't realize how easy those were to make! Thanks so much for the video demo - I'm off to make some stars. This is also a great way to use up some of those long pieces of paper that wind up in my scap pile!
I'm so glad you taped Christy making a star. It's so much easier to understand when you actually see it. Wahoo, Christy and Kristina!
That is the coolest thing I have ever seen!! Kudos to everyone who had a part in it! Can't wait til the 4th of July now! Thanks so much for the video.
