MACM - Happy Birthday

021808-MACM1.jpg

021808-MACM2.jpg Hi all! This week's card was actually made last week! Right now, I'm actually in Las Vegas so I had to film the MACM video early. :)

Of all the occasions that need a card, I think birthdays are the most common. I always like to have different types of birthday cards on hand just in case I need them. This card could be for just about anyone, but with the bright colors I might lean more toward giving it to child.

This video also shows how to mount stamps and a few tips on creating "window" cards with multiple punches. I also do a bit of watercolor painting with Stampin' Up!'s Watercolor Wonder Crayons. As I mention in the video, there are many other ways of using the crayons--this is just one way. :)

Anyway, enjoy the video and I'll catch up with you when I get back in town. Thanks, ya'll!

I like the card and am always inspired to use more designer paper when I watch your videos. One question, what is the difference between the T-square and the stamp-a-ma-jig?

Hi, Kristina!
I am in high school. I was sitting upstairs doing my homework one day, and I heard my Mum on the computer downstairs listening to some really great music! I came down to see what she was doing, and she was watching one of your "Make a card Monday"s! WOW! I've seen many of your other "Make a card Monday"s, and am really impressed with your music selection!
I found a song by Maroon 5, called "Won't go home without you", and first time I heard it, I though, "this sounds like something Kristina might put on her blog!" I thought you might like to check it out!
Thanks for all your fun card ideas! My mum and I love them!

I usually watch MAC Mondays at work and today I'm home with my 7 year old daughter and I had her watch it with me... throughout the video, all you hear her saying is "WOW Mom, she's good" again and again. I told her that i'll let her watch your other MAC videos and all she say is "Cool!"

Thanks =)

I noticed with this video, when you had stamped the word image with the stazon, and before you stamped it in your actual color, you ran the stamp over some kind of a dauber? I imagine it's some kind of a cleaning dauber, but what is it exactly? Thanks!

Roxanne:

Kristina,

I've been watching your blog for quite a few months now! I love everything your make! I love your videos on Mondays. I enjoy watching, learning, and listening to the cool music. You are very good at those videos. I loved how you taught how to align the circles. Very clever. I've been stamping since 2003 and it just seems like I am always learning something new. One tip I thought maybe you might be able to use. Rather using your stamp box, scribble your watercolor crayon or markers on an old cd (like those ones you get in the mail for AOl, and Netscape). It works great too!

I hope you had an awesome time in Las Vegas. Never been there. Maybe one day! You'll have to post some things you made!

Take Care,
Rox (Addicted Stamper)

Kristina, Thank you so much for all the fantastic projects you produce, from your cards to your videos and so on. Mondays are such a treat! You are so appreciated. I am having a really great time with my stamp-a-ma-jig, thanks to your tutorial. I hadn't used my alphabet sets much because crooked drives me crazy. Love your stuff and I share your site with everyone I know who has a glimmer of interest in stamping/card-making. Thanks for the stamp mounting segment, too. You are a highlight to each day! :D

love, love, love, love, love your blog! I was thinking about your SAMJ and I thought I would pass on something that I do myself. I use my SAMJ alot. Its always out. Anyhow, what I do is cut a transparency to 4x4 (or whatever size you like) and I ink up the edges with my Staz On so I can see where they are,('cause I'm getting kinda old and I can't see all that well at night). I stamp my image with the Staz On on the transparency and then when I'm done with it I just put it in the box with the stamps and its ready for me the next time. That way I don't have to clean the imaging sheet because I just don't use it. Alot of my stamp boxes have imaging sheets made with the transparencies all ready to go. Is that clear as mud? I feel kinda silly giving YOU a tip but maybe you could use it.
Thanks for sharing all your beautiful work. B.
