NEW Car!

011408-mazda1.jpg

011408-mazda2.jpg Made a little trip to my Mazda dealership tonight and... brought home a new car!

I turned in my leased 2005 Mazda3s for a newer 2008 Mazda3s Touring! Yep, I got the same car, but better: it's black! I've always wanted a black car, but when I got my previous car everyone talked me out of it (black cars are hotter in the summer, dirt shows more on the paint, etc.), but this time I was all, "I DON'T CARE! I WANT BLACK!"

Plus, it's super spy sexy. I can indulge my secret spy fantasies while I sit behind tinted windows and drive down twisty European roads. Why yes, I'll accept the super secret mission... Do I get Michael Vartan as a co-pilot? ;)

So, I got it in black with leather interior... oh, so luxurious. It's a sweet little ride that's perfect for just me. :)

I'll have to post pictures when I have a chance. I have to take it in to the dealership to have a rear spoiler added (my old Mazda3 had a spoiler, but this one doesn't and looks... naked). Plus, I've yet to have the windows tinted. Until then, its not quite spy material, and I want to wait to take pictures until he (yes, the car is a he) is fully equipped and ready for high-speed car chases. ;)

Until then... Zoom-zoom!

(Oh, and by the way, I shamelessly borrowed the above pictures from the Mazda website).

I'm so jealous! The Mazda 3 is my dream car! Guess that's silly since they are pretty reasonably priced, but my dogs won't fit in it, so I'm stuck driving a minivan! (At least it's a Mazda!)

How much do you LOOOVE that car?? I got one in 2006 and I was JUST praising it's amazing-ness to another blogger friend!

I, too, was talked out of my dream color, red, because people said I would be pulled over more. I have a slight speeding problem. : ) So I got silver. Boooor-ing! Next time I get a new car...years and years and years from now...I'm gonna GET that red car no matter what anyone says.

Enjoy your spy car...it's gorgeous!

I had a black SAAB turbo when we lived in England. Loved it! Now I prefer something that doesn't show the dirt so easy (I live next to an orchard), but that SAAB looked way too cool in its hay day.

I put 183,000 miles on it & sold it when the odometer broke.

Everyone should have at least one zippy cool car in their lifetime.

Sarah:

Congratulations! Enjoy your new set of wheels. Also, good for you to FINALLY get what you want. I spent much of my life trying to please everyone else. By age 30, I finally figured out that I have to make MYSELF happy instead of pleasing everyone else. (For example: When you pick a paint color, whether it be for a car or the walls of your home, don't let anyone talk you out of it because YOU are the one who has to live with it! Stick to your instinct... you've got great taste!)

I have never had a Mazda but I sure do like it; I will never have a Mazda because I am a Mom to a busy pre-teen and teenager and I need room for hockey equipment, friends, dog and husband (not necessarily that order).
I love your mystery imagination spy girl.
Enjoy your sweet ride.

good luck with your co-pilot search

Be sure to take a picture of you by your new car. We've done that with each new car we've bought and it's so much fun to look back at each car and all of us through the years ;-)
