MACM - Thanks... I needed that

011408-thanksineededthat2.jpg

011408-thanksineededthat.jpg Good morning!

This week's card features a little bit of blender penning (is that a word?). A few people asked about blender pens, and really, this is all I use them for... to color in outlined images. How do you use blender pens? We all want to know.

In other news, I'm going to the One Republic concert! I won the tickets off the radio and I'm super excited! I have go and pick them up today.

How did I win? The DJ played a mash-up and had people call in and tell them who the artists were. Well, there I was, driving to my card club, at a stoplight. Ehhh, why not. Got out my iPhone, googled the song name and presto! Billy Idol and Justine Timberlake.

Then I was the tenth caller! Yeah! I {heart} my iPhone. :)

Thanks... I Needed That - All supplies from Stampin' Up! Kraft, Basic Gray, and Whisper White card stock; Fun & Fast Notes stamp set; StazOn ink; Regal Rose, Wild Wasabi, So Saffron, and Pumpkin Pie inks; Regal Rose wide grosgrain; Crew Kids Girl Simply Scrappin'.

Great card! I really look forward to MACM each Monday morning (well afternoon for me) and have become addicted to your website since I discovered it last December and I must say, so have my two young girls, Morgane (9) and Moira (5). They love watching the videos and we all like to find and use new tips.
Thanks for such great fun.

Just wanted to let you know...

I was updating this lens of mine on SU! and I noticed that this YouTube video that I had on it had been pulled. So I searched YouTube for SU! stuff and guess what I found? I've now placed six of your awesome videos on my lens: http://www.squidoo.com/stampinupstamps

Thanks so much! These are wonderful. :)

Thanks for the demo. I love my blender pens but never know if I'm using them right.

I have a question. What is the best way to store card stock? How do you store yours? I have thought about storing mine verticly in like those mag. holders to safe on space. My husband thinks it would damage the corners over time. Do you know of a space saving way to store horizonaly?

Thanks for your help!!!

It's so helpful to SEE all the products being used. I use my blender pens just as you do, to pick up color and then color in an image. I also use blender pens for some of the other uses they are marketed for (watercolor pencils, watercolor crayons and pastels). What I learned today was how to use the strips from the Simply Scrappin' packages. I am more of a card person then a scrapbooker so this has been a challenge for me. Thanks for the visual!

Long time lurker, first time poster! For the countless videos you make and edit... thank you! I've got tons of inspiration from it. While I can't make as many cards as I'd like because of my current work situation, please be assured the fire is still burning on the inside to create. I get so much fuel here! :-)

debberdoo:

Wonderful card and video! I received this set at convention last summer and haven't used it once! You've inspired me! Yours is a great layout for any of the stamps in that set. It's also a good card for using up scraps of patterned paper. I don't have that Simply Scrappin' kit but I'll bet anyone could make stips that look like the stickers with coordinating patterned papers.

I appreciate the fact that, although you dropped your demonstratorship, you continue to use SU! products. SU! products are easy for just about everyone to get.

Thank you so much for all the time you put into making your blog!

LOVE YOUR BLOG....so fun & informative. I use my blender pens with re-inkers. Just a drop will do. then I pick up my color & use it like a marker, either directly to the rubber or watercoloring....it has amazing results.

Oh my gosh! Watching you make that card was so fun! The stamping made me dizzy tho! That's crazy! I've never done stamping like THAT before!

On a side note, did you meet Parker when you went in to get your tickets? Just curious because he seems like such a NERD! (I'm assuming it was from 101.9 the end)
