MACM - Love Love Love

012808-love1.jpg

012808-love2.jpg Hi all!

Thought I might try another Valentine's Day card. Can't have enough of these, right? :) For some reason, I just love Cocoa, Guava, and Blossom together... such pretty colors! I can't get enough of them so I had to use them on this card.

I think I'm in a Cocoa-Guava-Blossom phase. Do you go through color combo phases, too? I remember two summers ago, I was in an Olive-Coral-Apricot phase (inspired by this card), and then last summer it was Pomegranate-Wasabi-Pumpkin-Sky phase (see it here and here).

I've also been known to just stick with the same colors for weeks at a time. ;)

Oh my, how gorgeous is this!! Where on earth do you come up with these ideas - you're so talented!I think I'll make this one for my hubby for Valentine's day - not too feminine. I so look forward to your videos - you are adorable too!

Glad to hear you're feeling better today. Thanks for another wonderful video - I love how you changed things up a bit this time - slowing both the film and music down. Thanks for MACM, I just love what you do! Beautiful card, TFS:)

I am going to try that glitter thing, I have a Zig glue pen just like that one you are using.
I go through colour phases too! In fact, I think I go through phases with all sorts of things.
I learn so much from your videos :) And you have inspired me to give video editing a go. I wish I could do it with the ease you do.
Thank you as always for being such an inspiration to me and for being such a wonderful teacher!

Spectacular as always! I love your funny little comments throughout. Don't change a thing. I love your taste in music, too. Its usually something I have never heard before but really, really like. Have a great week.

I really enjoy your blog. It always has such elegant cards and ideas.

I have a helpful tip for you on dimensional. If you have trouble getting the back off take your fingernail and push it into the center of the back of the dimensional. It will make the sides curl up and very easy to peal off.

Keep up your wonderful work. It's very inspiring!

I love, love, love MACM! Your cards are always so adorable!

I was going to leave a tip for taking the backing off of your dimensions but I noticed that Sherri already posted it! It is a great tip and works well!

Love it!! Love the colors!! Love MACM - I look forward to it all week!!
I have so much paper that I will just keep using it over and over on a project until it's gone - I hate to keep digging out new paper for every card. Don't know that you would call that a kick - it's more like lazyness! HaHa!!

Becky (cajunmama):

Great card! I always enjoy starting my week with your blogs, and this week is no exception.

I too go through color phases. Orange and teal combinations lastest the longest so far (3 months, lol) and I'm currently in a lavender/brown/blue phase. Hmmmm, I wonder if there is a "blue" moon out?

Have a great week and Happy Mardi Gras!

I love the colors! So non-traditional for a valentine's card.

I thought the screen shot of the card half-way through was a cool artsy touch and then my techie son told me that youtube uses that spot in your video for their screen-shot! So clever of you!

You always make me smile...love the tunes, love the card...you are just so awesome. A little trick for dimensionals I leaned way back when. Poke the centre of your dimensional with paper snips and the backing lifts off at the corners. I TOTALLY felt your pain *smiles*

I love MACM! It encourages me to take a little time every week to make a card and do what I like doing with myself.

Don't we all go through color phases. My usually is inspired by some hue of red, but right now I love blueberry, chocolate and lime! So pretty...

Happy Monday!

Very cute card! I love how you use the stamps. I am not very imaginative when it comes to stamping. I have several but don't really know how to use them.

One thing you might consider for your dimensional adhesive is some tweezers. They are my third hand, and the sharp points make removing those backings a snap. I use them for all sorts of fine work, such as fishing brads out of boxes, holding things still while I am applying glue, and removing glue dots from the roll to apply to the project. I once tried to scrapbook without them and ended up just quitting!

Love the card and I think the color combo is unique--ya don't see it everyday so that's nice. Unfortunately for me, I've been in a pink and brown color rut ever since my daughter was born...ya, that was a year and a half ago! Her nursery is pink and brown, scrapbook is pink and brown, so many of my cards are pink and brown... I just can't seem to get past it!

SU! should pay for your blog. I'm pretty sure that every week after MACM I immediately order everything you've used. Thanks so much for forcing me into bankruptcy. Ok, not really, but I'm definitely adding Forever in my Heart to my next order. I may have to make these cards at my club on 2/13. Oh, and I say cold sore, schmold sore. You'd be awesome with a burlap bag over your head!! You're my fave. But you knew that, right?? *wink*

I got such a kick out of your struggle with the Dimensionals. When I first saw your videos it was one of your "speeded up" versions, and I remember thinking, "wow, she's so quick at getting the backing of those Dimensionals; it always takes me forever." Ha ha, now I know the truth!

Love your cards and the videos. Very inspiring.

Thanks again for a great card. I'm loving Guava since the new catalogue came out. It will be on my SAB order!

My current favourite colour combos:
1. Chocolate Chip, River Rock, Old Olive and Bordering Blue - inspired by the Home Again Simply Scrappin Kit.
2. Eggplant, Brilliant Blue, Bravo Burgundy and So Saffron - love the rich dark colours.

Have a great day and hope you are feeling better!

My daughter was sitting on my lap while I watched the video and she said "I want to be like that lady." She likes to help me make cards, but she must have seen the difference between my messes and your art.

Love your blog and your amazing videos.
Each time I watch one I learn something new.
Thought I'd share with you a tip I got from the SU convention last year on dimensionals. If you rub your finger nail down the middle of the dimensional after it is on the object the sides sort of pop up making them easier to grab.
