Birthday Wishes

bday-wishes_0708.jpg

This card was in the December issue of Cards Magazine. Just thought I'd share it here! (I was trying out a white background when I took this picture back in July... Can you believe they work that far in advance? Craziness!)

:)

Birthday Wishes - textured card stock: Bazzill; Old Olive, Soft Sky and Blue Bayou card stock, Circle of Friendship stamp set, chipboard, 1-3/8" and 1/2" circle punches, clear button, ribbon: Stampin' Up!; patterned paper: Scenic Route; stamping ink: StazOn; sewing machine and thread.

I absolutely love your cards and videos.
I was wondering what kind of camera do you use, and how do you get the pictures of your cards so perfect?

Thanks

Kristina says: Casey, I'm going to refer you to my FAQ. The link is at the top of the page. :)

Very cute card! I'm curious about the 'medallion' thing though. In the photo It looks like a chipboard base with a clear plastic piece (kind of like a button without any holes) on top.

Kristina says: Actually, yes, it is a clear button. The holes in the center are covered by the blue circle on top. And the bottom part is a chipboard circle. I just realized I didn't account for them in my supply list. I just added them. :)

Saw your blatently copied card ... so sad that people do this - even the patterned paper is exactly the same! I really think it should be removed, your card put in and credit given to you.

I love the card. It looks so fresh and clean! Sorry about someone copying your card. That is awful and I agree with Karen that it should be removed from wherever it's at. Can't that be considered copyright infringement or something?

Wow... You stitch?? Show me more!

Love the colours. Do you find that CARDS magazine tends to accept more detailed cards, or ones that are simple equally? Just asking because I would love some tips on getting published.
