Video tutorial: Color Spritzer

111207-blockparty2.jpg

111207-blockparty1.jpg Don't you love the holidays?! I've been listening to Christmas music all day! Love it!

This morning's card and tutorial was a request from a few weeks back. How do you use the Color Spritzer? Well, here's a quick how to on just that!

I mostly use the spritzer to just get a soft texture to the card stock. I generally do not use the spritzer as a means to create a focal point on a card. The tool has been around for a quite a while, so if it's over-used it can easy make your card look dated. By careful with it--less is more!

I've also wondered if you could use the Color Spritzer with a Versamarker. Does anyone know? It would be awesome to use it to add little speckles of glitter! If you know if this works (or doesn't work), leave a comment and let the rest of us know. :)

Thanks all! And have a wonderful day!

Holiday Card - Block Party stamp set, kraft card stock, Whisper White taffeta ribbon, and glitter (Stampin' Up!); patterned paper (Basic Grey); glue pen (Martha Stewart Crafts); ink (ColorBox).

Yes! You can use the Versamarker with the spritzer to add glitter, embossing powder, etc.

Kristina, this card is super cute! How did you do the glitter stripes though? Did you use sticky strip or something? It looks like they're two different widths??

Great video too....I love that music!

Kristina says: I just used a Martha Stewart ball-point glue pen and a ruler. That's why the widths are different--just me putting the glue down! :)

Yes, you can use the versamarker. Shelly demoed this at the Stampin' Up! convention. She used a combination of gold embossing powder and irridescent ice embossing powder on a home decor item. It was really pretty!

Yep, you can use the versamark, it's a neat effect. You can also use the zig painty pen that we sell. Beautiful card Kristina.

Love the videos! Keep them coming!

I wonder if the sprtizer tool will dry out your markers faster than just using them?

Have you had to re-ink your markers?

I was going to say you could use the versamarker...but it's been covered. Also, I didn't know you could use reinker on your markers....Great idea!! Glad I commented today.

Kristina - THANK YOU so much for this. I don't know if anyone else asked, but I was thrilled to see that you answered my question about how to use this. I'll definitely get my spritzer tool back out TODAY!!

Very cool! SU sells VersaMark Pad Refills 1/2 oz.
You can dab some on a toothbrush and sprinkle it too. Yes...it is a little messier than the Spritzer tool.
