Video Tutorial: Heidi Swapp Masks

I'd never used one of these masks until ScrapFest last month when I took a Heidi Swapp techniques class. These masks are actually pretty cool. And for those of us who love paint and ink, it's awesome!
So far, I haven't been able to get a clean and crisp edge to the images, but I'm not sure that's the intent. Also, if you use an acrylic ink and make sure the edges are really stuck down, I bet you could get a nice edge.
Anyway, here's the tutorial. I really like how the card turned out. I think it might be one of my recent favorites. :)
BTW, thanks to everyone who has purchased my calendar design. I really think you'll like it.

Kristina, this is super cute!! I think I need to find me some of those fun thickers you keep using, not to mention the masks!! Thanks for sharing, Girly! Love the tutorial too. How long did it take that ink to dry on the card? And are you able to wipe the ink off the mask and re-use it, or is it a one-time-use kinda thing?
Kristina,
Thanks so much for doing this! This made a beautiful card, and made it clear on how to use the masks. Thanks again!
I wonder if you brayered over the mask before inking if it would create a crisper line definition... What do you think?
Thank you so much for posting this tutorial! I have a Heidi Swapp daisy mask sitting here on my desk waiting to be used. I have been too chicken to do anything with it!
Kristina, thanks so much for answering my questions about drying time, etc. I remembered one other thing I've meant to ask you several times before.....when you do ribbon like you did here, is it taped onto the back of the card or something? Since you couldn't just wrap it all the way around, I'm not sure how you did it here since the card opens up, like it does.
Very fun card & nice tutorial ... the letters look great over the masked image.
Love the tutorial and the finished card. i think you've sold me on trying these out - a good way to use all my chalk ink. thank you, Lynn
Great tutorial - thanks so much for taking the time to do this and sharing it with everyone. Love the finished card too.
You make it all look so easy! I really really appreciate your video tutorials :) They help shed light and let me know I am on the right track!!! Once again, thank you so much for all the effort you put into your blog :)
You just get more and more fabulous... you know that? :)
Super cute! I learn SO many new things from your blog. I had never heard of thickers before coming here and now these masks!
Okay, where do I get the masks?! Would my local scrapbook store carry them, or do I get them online? I just LOVE this card!!
Darling! I just love your cards and especially your video tutorials. How timely, I just purchased one of those maskes a few weeks ago. I thought it was just a sticker when I bought it! I just started a blog a few days ago and posted my first creation today - Halloween boxes that I made from your Origami box tutorial! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks again for this video tutorial.
You now have my interest in trying this.
Thanks again for sharing your talent.
Can't wait to try it!!
Dee
Great card. You amaze me. I see your new blog stuff, or stumble on something you've had published, and I always just shake my head and think, "dang, she's good!" Keep it coming :D
