More Christmas

101807-2u1.jpg

101807-2u2.jpg Hi all! Another Christmas card tonight. I made this last night, but saved it to share today. And thanks for letting me know what you consider essential for your papercrafting. By far, the most common answers were: paper trimmer and scissors (paper snips or ribbon scissors, specifically). Thanks for the input! I love to hear how ya'll papercraft, too. :)

Anyway, I bought some more metal edged tags a while back and really wanted to use one with a felt Thicker (American Crafts), so this is what I came up with. The large circle was cut out of the patterned paper using the Coluzzle. The striped pattern paper is adhered to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals.

Doesn't that ribbon tying make you think of a present! Speaking of presents, I'll have to do a bit of holiday shopping on my trip.

While I'm on my trip, I'll also keep my eyes peeled for some cool papercrafting ideas, too. Kind of along the lines of, "How and where can I find inspiration?" A bit of "homework" for me. I'll take lots of pictures to show ya'll. :)

While I'm gone, I'll try to update a bit, but I can't guarantee anything. I return to Utah on Monday, so I'll see you guys for sure Tuesday morning!

Merry Christmas 2 U - Typeset Numbers set, Real Red card stock, Garden Green ink, Certainly Celery wide grosgrain ribbon, paper piercing template, and metal edged tag: Stampin' Up!; patterned paper and felt Thicker letter: American Crafts.

Kristina,

I love your cards!

Have a great time on your trip to NYC!

Since you like ribbon and if you are nearby & have time to squeeze it in, check out the Mokuba store. A friend took me to the original two locations in Tokyo earlier this year. They are world-renowned for their ribbons and trims and supply to the fashion industry. They have a location in Paris too. The stores are showrooms for ribbons, lace, and trims.

Oh... I'm so adoring the Christmas cards... Keep em coming! Your blog is #1 on my list for card making inspiration. I'm always impressed by what you post.
To answer your earlier question: Supplies I always use for cardmaking are: Glitter - It used to be dazzling diamonds, but now is more fine with a clear glitter gel pen by Gelly Roll. I really like using my Fiskars fabric scallop scissors for cards, as well as my punches. I over used my scalloped circle punch for a while, now I've moved on to my oval punch some. For scrapbooking I'm really just into paper right now. I adore adding a touch of stripes, polka dots and/or swirled paper. Oh yes, and my clear letter stamps. Love those.
Nothing too exciting from me huh.
