Rock on! & a baby card
So a few of you (read: a lot) have noticed that a few of my cards are in the September issue of Stampin' Success (the magazine for Demonstrators). :) I was one of the lucky ones to "test drive" the new Demonstrator Business Web Site. Let me tell you, it's awesome! Ya'll are going to love it!
Yesterday, I got my goodie box from Northridge Media (I have things in both Cards Magazine and Scrapbook Trends). Lots of fun things to create with, including some AWESOME paper from Creative Imaginations. Check it: cherries, skulls and cross bones, edgy stickers. So cool! I'm pretty sure all of it was made with a teenager in mind, but I love it anyway!
Here's a card I made with the cherry patterned paper.

I also had a workshop this afternoon. The hostess is an avid photographer and requested card with photos. I wasn't sure what to do because I haven't put pictures on cards before, so I asked around and someone suggested I try photos on this card. Renae, you're a genius!
Here's how the photo card turned out. I used photos from a shoot I did for my good friend Melissa (see some shots here). This is her little guy who is so HUGE now compared to when these photos were taken.

That baby card is adorable. I actually picked up some funky pirate paper for my son yesterday at my L.S.S. It was so totally not my style, but having two boys, I guess I'm going to have some funky paper now an again. And, he had a pirate party for his birthday, so its totally fitting.
Wow, I love both of the cards. Great way to incorporate the photos. Your photos are wonderful too. Congrats on SS, Scrapbook Trends and Cards magazine. I am totally not surprised though. I think that we will be seeing a lot more in the future. Keep creating. By the way, I just finished Twilight this morning. I was pretty convinced by your recommendation that it would be good but I never imagined how much it would really affect me. This series will definitley be a favorite forever. I can't wait to get to the bookstore to get the next book. Have a great day!
Both of these cards are just fabulous! The baby card is especially creative! WOW! I just love it!
awesome cards as usual!!! that layout is perfect for pictures! btw, i was wondering how you got your icing so perfect on your cake. i'm completely self taught and make cakes for friends often--i have a photo album of them on my blog. anyway among other things, i obsess over getting the icing smooth, so please share! :) lexi
Love love love it! The baby card would be a good one to use for a baby announcement -- too cute!
I was browsing through some of the blog sites you look at, I came across a girl by the name of Emily Kate. As I was scrolling down I noticed some pictures with people I recognized from our ward here in Milwaukee. Evidently her sister-in-law lives here, her daughter is in nursery with Hallie, it's a small world sometimes!!
Your "You Rock" card is so cool...love the cherry paper!
Your baby card is so awesome with the windows and adorable pictures!
Congratulations on all of you publications! I've been seeing your name all over the place.
Lovin' those cards, Kristina! Congratulations on your pubs, girl! :) Have a great week!!
Love the "You Rock" card--very cool!
I love that you can answer questions right in the comments. Can you take some photos or give some very clear directions on how you got your squares all straight in a row and perfectly spaced.
