Stamps and Ribbon If you're looking for more stamps for sale, head on over to my friend Jen... she has a new updated list on what stamp sets are still available. Check out her original post to see details on shipping, etc. :) BTW, hey Jen! Also, in my goodie box from Cards Magazine (for my two cards on the cover of the July issue), they sent me a Ribbon Iron by Pebbles, Inc. I've been eyeing one of these for a while, but never could justify the purchase--I can just iron ribbon with a regular iron, right? Well, I tried the ribbon iron this morning and it's a dream! Just lovely. I highly recommend it for all the ribbon that comes on cards because it's gets horrible kinks in it.
Retired Stamp Sets Blowout Sale! Hi all! The new July 2007 Stampin' Up! catalog arrived at my door yesterday and I'm so excited to see all the new things they have in store for us! I've been totally up my wishlist and it's ginormous! Anyway, I've gone through my stamp stash and have a few stamp sets to sell (for super cheap). All stamp sets will start mailing out on Monday, July 2. If you're interested in buying any of the following stamp set, please email me and tell which ones you'd like. I'm only accepting PayPal payments at this time. Shipping 1-2 sets, $4.60 Unfortunately, I am only shipping to US addresses. The list (prices are without shipping): Say It Simply ($3) As sets are claimed, I'll gray out ones not available.
New American Crafts Hi all! There's a sneak peek of the new AC product that is being debuted at CHA this summer over at Lifetime Moment: new cool AC stuff. Yum! Sarah, Kelly and all the designers have really outdone themselves. Great job, guys! :)
Happy 1st Birthday! My niece's birthday was today so we celebrated! Here are a few shots from the family party tonight... definitely scrapbook worthy.

Lost Idol Challenge #5 - Happy Birthday Card As Sarah would say, I've been a "very bad blogger" lately. Sorry to stop for a while... seems weird to have been away for so long. Really it wasn't that long, but it felt like a long time. Anyway, lets jump right in and see my latest card. Just a little birthday card. Tried to make it a bit generic so that it could be given to a boy or a girl. What do you think?
Today's quote from Paula... My co-worker Paula: "I find anyone who doesn't like naps suspicious." That is all. :)
Lost Idol Challenge #5 This week's challenge is brought to you by yours truly: Challenge #5: Create a card using the following words as inspiration: Fresh, playful, and texture. Won't you join us? (BTW, hopefully I'll get a chance to post a picture of last week's challenge soon. It's been a bit crazy around here).
Weekend Cards
Lost Idol Challenge #4 This week's challenge is brought to you by Erica: Challenge #4: Create a project using at least one of Stampin' Up!'s retiring In Colors but using a NEW stamp set. For non-SU! crafters, mix something old with something new. Won't you join us?
Cards Magazine, July 2007! So, Kelly just sent me the cutest email saying that she has a copy of the July issue of Cards... So, I know it's out now. Guess who's cards are on the cover? ;) Interestingly, they showed the card on the left on it's side. Hmm... maybe I should have sent a photo with the actual card when I mailed it to them. It does work horizontally, though. (BTW, congrats Kelly on your cover of Scrapbook Trends!)
Congratulations Card 2 I guess I really love the "congratulations" stamp. ;) I ordered some card stock from SU! yesterday and it arrived this afternoon (one of the perks of living so close to the corporate office). Anyway, I ordered the colors used on this card. I didn't mean for it to be a color combination--I just needed those colors. But when I opened the box I was all, "Hm... those are nice." I also used a boatload of stuff from the Preview Brochure, including two new stamp sets (Baroque Motifs and Hug & Wishes), three new In Colors (Blue Bayou, Soft Sky and Groovy Guava), the stamp set and punch from the new punch box, and one of the new rhinestone brads. Lots of fun!
Congratulations Card I have a few "homework" assignment over the next few weeks. I have two workshops before the end of June, plus my regular card club. So I'm attempting new techniques, or techniques I don't often go to when I'm making a card. My Stampin' Pastels have never been used! Can you believe that? I got them in my starter kit when I signed up as a demonstrator, but have never used them. This afternoon, I broke off the shrink wrap and tried a few things, one of which worked out. The card below uses Groovy Guava card stock and ink--a new Stampin' Up! In Color for 2007. Currently, it's only available to customers. Look for it in the July catalog if you want to buy it. It's such a luscious color... yum! Guava is right!
Lost Idol Challenge #3 - My page + a card Hi all! I've had a couple of really good mail days! I received my Stampin' Up! demonstrator order on Wednesday (I ordered some things from the July 2007 catalog that are available to demonstrators now). And yesterday I received my order from amillionlittlethings.com, including my new KI Memories 4x4 felt album. I just love it. A Million Little Things has only a few of the albums left (click here). Anyway, here's the album and then the page. I also made a small 3x3 card using some of the same products and the new Stampin' Up! punch box (the three little flowers).
Lost Idol Challenge #3 This week's challenge is brought to you by yours truly! Erica and I are on a roll! Challenge #3: Create a 4" x 4" scrapbook page. I'm in love with the new KI Memories 4x4 felt albums and I'm looking for fun and funky 4x4 pages. No product restrictions. Anything goes. Won't you join us? Leave a link here with your challenge page.
Home early
(Sorry about the glare in the first photo -- The Bazzill Bling card stock truly has a shimmer to it). I came home from work early today because my back has been hurting the last couple of days. Just taking it easy. Tried to stay in bed with a heating pad, but after a couple hours (not with the heating pad on the entire time, obviousy) I couldn't take it anymore. Had to get up, start the laundry, and while the clothes were washing, I made a quick layout using the photos of my niece that I took a couple weeks ago. She's such a cutie! And I'm seriously so surprised she actually looked at the camera. I don't see her very often so she's a bit shy around me. Hopefully that will change. Actually, I know that will change. She's a little social butterfly with everyone else. I just need to make it a point to be around more. :) Anyhow, I'm loving the chipboard flower on this layout. So much fun to make. And the red button is actually a spare button from a red peacoat that I own. I LOVE that coat so that makes this layout even more special.
AH! Oh... my... gosh. Why didn't anyone tell me that I spelled popsicle wrong on my page in the last entry? Hello! Maybe I can disguise it somehow...
Lost Idol Challenge #2 - My page I've always loved Laura Kurz's style and thought I'd try something of her's for the challenge this week. My page actually turned out much different than the one I was basing it off of, but I still like it. :) Inspiration: Laura Kurz's 1947
